Can confirm no issues with Mello Derby, venue is very good. It's only a very small part of their business anyway.

Not easy to keep skilled workers unless the incentives are very enticing imv, one reason that there are so few qualified workers in this area in the UK, is that many went to Australia and a few other countries from memory.

The CEO did say that a trading update would be released before the year end if they are trading better than expected, which I think is likely when I look at other UK focused stocks in the recruitment sector, then I would expect to see an update.

So might have to wait until December before we see a trading update imo.

thanks interceptor2. Since the election of Modi in may, I imagine the present push to upgrade India's infrastructure - particularly its electricity generation and distribution - is an 'all-hands-on-deck' issue there. They won't want to be losing skilled workers to higher paid jobs abroad. Though I don't know what incentives they can offer to persuade them not to go. (Perhaps a hefty discount for their own electricity!)

Bought a few more on this dip.

PrimePeople had good results this morning with a 28% increase in NFI for their UK division.

What we need is an update from RTC now.

I don't know the exact numbers or size of ATA India operations, but they are a relatively small part of the business.

But I believe there is near term potential due to the government undertaking a huge investment in Overhead Electrification of the UK rail network, but their is a large shortage of skilled overhead linesmen. Only about 160 in the UK, so 1000 extra are needed and RTC see a large opportunity to source these staff from their Indian operations, where there are plenty of skilled workers, who have the advantage of reading and writing good English. RTC have the licence in place to recruit Indian workers into the UK.

Hi Martin - I am not there but I've seen a few posts on TMF/Twitter and from what I've read people are saying it is an excellent event.

Since Mello Derby started, RTC has been a little weak on the share price front. Hope the conference is running smoothly.

Can someone give me a guide as to how big or small a part of the company the ATA India operation is please?

Any knock on from the RollsRoyce job losses at their Derby plant I wonder.

recovered on the day. Looking on a five year timeframe if they do hit 3 million profit and a fair PE of 10 we could see a share price north of £2.50. Would be nice.

Another stock hangman has missed out on. As I recall he missed out on Lo-Q too. Sour grapes, no class....

Just for clarity....Mello2014 is a top quality event and the poster at 318 knows that but you always get someone who wants to mock the hard working efforts of others ! There will be no mining or resources stocks in the building lol

Dan

Could be for the fact that they are actual proven entrepeneurs at Mello, have actual wealth, have real market savvy and do not live in Bed & Breakfasts.
Who knows why the 2bob moron would post that @jealousy/insecurity?

A 30k buy at 49p has just gone through, so the breakout should hold into the close now.

The strong growth in the UK recruitment sector can't be under the radar for much longer imo.

Good solid breakout into fresh highs today.

Quite a lot of volume today too (a top-up for me today) but still very much under the radar.

RTC are planning quite a few things for all the investors on their home turf...not least happy hours and great menus to keep everyone fed and watered.

I guess as ATA are based in another building at the DCC there may be a networking opportunity for them as well with some of the companies attending. I will certainly not be encouraging that however and they need to buy tickets like everyone else.

Now added a comparison of RTC with NAK on this link

Agreed Glen and Servoca last week

Nakama now has a higher market cap for less than half the turnover and profit

Servoca has 3* the market cap for an almost identicle financial performance/balance sheet

For anyone interested I have posted a comparison here (and Interceptor has posted some conference call feedback) - last two posts on link

I have added RTC again today 2*5k at 45p - currently my largest holding

Clearly off the radar for now but perhaps not for much longer

Mello 2014 next week hosted by RTC who I'm sure will bring the company to the attention of attendees!

I am sure the Mello2014 event will raise the profile of the Derby Conference Centre and certainly will be very profitable for them.

On Friday, the share price was down 1.5p and yet Fill or Kill orders for 10k shares at the offer price were being rejected. I ended up buying 5k at the offer price this morning.
