30/6/2023 21:21 | I don't disagree with this at allhttps://www.ii.co | dope007
30/6/2023 14:14 | Aviva and lgen look a good swap into to me if the mkt keeps selling them. Of course less secure but dividend yields on them are getting silly and that should also equal decent long term capital growth | dope007
30/6/2023 12:14 | whats giving a better more secure return please. genuine question | castleford tiger
29/6/2023 20:16 | Getting very tempted to sell and swap into some higher yielding stocks in this massive sell off of UK equities | dope007
11/5/2023 08:29 | I bought at an average of 99p on these so am very happy with that. I agree that rates are near the peak and should fall which supports capital appreciation here. The decision to make is is the capital appreciation going to be greater on stocks running higher current yields than this? As always both are moving targets and for me if the stocks I mention above take a dump and this remains static I'd probably swap. I also hold some BWSA at a very good yield so would potentially look at them also | dope007
11/5/2023 08:06 | Can you see this falling below par? We are close to the top (5%) of the interest cycle and with 1) inflation about to fall very fast 2)A general election coming i expect rates to start to fall early 24 as the Tories prime the economy. I think these look a very good safe bet in an ISA to get the full 7.6% yield. Plus as rates fall some capital growth | castleford tiger
05/5/2023 06:43 | Yup. LGEN, Aviva, m&g, national express, Barclays. If we see a panic sell off I'll likely sell here and buy them | dope007
04/5/2023 21:08 | Depends on which stocks Dope. LGEN and PHNX starting to approach what I would consider high yielding stocks and expect to grow their divi in the future too. | tag57
04/5/2023 14:46 | Don't know about anyone else but if the general mkt takes a right dump I'd be tempted to sell and re-invest in some bombed out high yield stocks | dope007
20/3/2023 14:00 | ECB already signalling an end to rate rises, making these very good value | dope007
19/3/2023 09:11 | 2022 accounts at Companies House. Post year end, the parent has funded a buy-in of the defined benefit pension scheme. Quite a big derisking event in my view, continuing the tidy up of the company structure. | mesb48
16/3/2023 10:26 | paid 99p today no divi for 6 months | castleford tiger
15/3/2023 10:36 | It does but I maybe a bit daft but like buying near the par price. Also picked up some BWSA recently | dope007
15/3/2023 09:39 | SAN is looking especially nice right now >7.65% or so I make it | my retirement fund
15/3/2023 09:20 | cannot disagree and as inflation falls back to circa 4% these produce a net real return. Added to L and G and AV i think its possible to get close to a £35000 a year return on a £500k pot So drawing just the dividend you maintain the pot and hopefully get a few % on capital growth as well. clearly thats not important but the 35k net of tax is worth 50 a year | castleford tiger
15/3/2023 08:51 | Added a few more ahead of Ex dividend date. Yield looks very good to me with rates at or near a peak | dope007
03/3/2023 07:46 | Dividend Timetable The Company announces that the next dividend payment on the Company's 7.375% cumulative irredeemable preference shares of GBP1 each ("Preference Shares") will be on 3 April 2023. The associated ex-dividend and record dates are 16 March 2023 and 17 March 2023 respectively. Dividend: in the gross amount of GBP4,609,375.00 / GBP0.036875 per Preference Share Ex-dividend date: 16 March 2023 Record date: 17 March 2023 Payment date: 3 April 2023/i | cwa1
18/1/2023 15:08 | A settle around 110 is cool with me. tiger | castleford tiger
17/1/2023 12:24 | Yes Aviva prefs have done well. I still see the prefs as good value going forward and for me a solid multi year investment in my ISA as I approach retirement. | dope007
15/1/2023 10:06 | As the interest rate rises stalled we've all done very well out of the prefs recently. Interesting to compare 5 of them, inc. two of the AVIVA prefs. Seems as though those Aviva prefs have seen the best recovery; especially as on top of the share price performance they also paid out 6months of divis, so performance better than shown. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | skyship
13/1/2023 08:47 | Added a few more this morning. With inflation looking like it has peaked I see these as a good long term ISA holding for recurring income that can be reinvested into retirement. My average in price is just over 99p so am happy with that | dope007
12/1/2023 23:02 | Not bad going. Another couple of pence rise and I would have made one years worth of yield just in capital growth. Long may it continue | kickingking
14/12/2022 10:13 | Nice rise here recently. I clearly should have been bolder when buying in November | dope007
22/11/2022 16:56 | I bought for the first time in my ISA at 97.8p this morning. Bought for long term income as I can't see rates going much higher | dope007 |
