Thank-you Phil'.
Its a funny game, as packaging isn't something we generally think about in life. As a society we are supposed to be using less packaging, yet we seem to use loads. I don't use fast food places very often, but when I do I find it alarming how much packing/containers/bags for each person.
I don't know which, or what percentage of the plastic packagingss are recyclabe - for example, I believe the discouraged plastic carrier bags aren't.

All in agreement then.Shares magazine have a buy in this weeks edition.

Cites the 22 years of dividend growth.Unknown rise in the future price of polymer and reliance on European markets could be a weakness.

Thr results make for pleasant reading.

The thought at the time of the Promens acquistion was they had overpaid. Not now with them flagging up more synergy savings to come.

The other recent acquisitions also doing well.Like-for-like sales grew 4%.

"Satisfactory" outlook statement and they continue to explore further opportunities.I wonder who they have next in their sights.

The chart looks good for more.

London Standard..

"Plastic packaging business RPC Group enjoyed a 22p rise to 640p on the back of better-than-expected annual results that prompted Deutsche Bank to lift its forecasts and target price to 690p."

Yes, looking good, philanderer.

Onwards and upwards, it seems. Some of the performance indicators went backwards but I think that might be a result of the acquisitions. They'll need time to bring in the financial benefits of being part of a bigger group.

The 12% rise in the dividend will have caught the eye of the institutions. In a time of ultra-low interest rates, there is a hunt for good income stocks. Ok, the yield is only about 2.4% but that's better than cash on deposit or government bonds and there's the prospect of a rise in the value of the shares (assuming the year goes to plan).

A strong hold for me. No advice intended.
