Last Signal:BUY
Last Pattern:BULLISH THREE GAP DOWNS
Last Close:259.7000 Change:+12.8000 Percent change+5.18% Signal Update Our system’s recommendation today is to BUY. The BULLISH THREE GAP DOWNS pattern finally received a confirmation because the prices crossed above the confirmation level which was at 255.7500, and our valid average buying price stands now at 256.5600. The previous SELL signal was issued on 04/03/2019, 10 days ago, when the stock price was 281.6700. Since then RMG.L has fallen by -8.91%.Market Outlook Let’s jump on our white horses and go for a bullish ride. The bullish pattern that was previously identified is finally confirmed and a BUY signal is generated. Most probably, it is the right time to participate in bullish fervor. The market is telling you about a new profit. Do not miss this bullish opportunity. more...

This share needs a lobotomy

But it can't afford to go private

And the waiting list means the Chart goes from Bad to Catastrophic

Good luck with your new purchase careful. Sadly stock markets seldom seem to follow common sense values, one hopes that yield is sustainable.

but a PE of 9.9 and a yield of 9.3%.

Old fashioned investors those numbers used to mean something.

The collapse continues.
Rashly I have just added a few.

Down from 630p in 12 months to todays 256p.
Amazing.

I sold out just over 1 year ago at 460p, then watched in horror as they quickly rose to 630p.
It was painful, a few short weeks and I could have made mega profits.
'Why am I so weak, why did I sell, I should be more like Buffett...you all know the feeling'.

Well I am back in at an average price of about 325p, below the original launch price, and the pain is just as bad.
Who would be an investor?

careful, I believe that the market was to some extent drawn to the real estate assets which I suspect have now somewhat diminished? Perhaps also the huge turnover was a lure along with expected greatly improved efficiencies that normally go with a privately run business. I tried to buy 75,000 shares in the flotation as the issue price seemed not to value the fixed assets. I couldn't get them at the float price and wasn't willing to chase after it.

If by some miracle we get a 'no deal' brexit we might see those lucrative contracts given away to DHL and TNT brought back in at renewal time? That would certainly be very helpful. One might see the parcel side sold off or separated as a free standing business, the parcel side is much more efficient than the mail side of things and presumably subsidises the mail losses. If the mail business were stood alone it would likely be untenable, and then perhaps some commercial common sense could be brought to bear?

a great summary.
..but all of those arguments were known when the share price was £6.30.
And the turnover is still a solid £10bn.

Markets are fickle.

Great post-sums up some of the main issues........

careful, there are two aspects of the business that hamper it. The first is that it's not allowed to operate as a rational business due to legislation that obliges them to deliver everywhere everyday. Thus empty and almost empty vehicles clock up huge mileages, a rational approach for a business is to wait until there is enough of a load to justify it's carriage. The second big problem was the government giving away huge slabs of lucrative work to the German Post Office (DHL) and the Dutch Post Office (TNT) in the EU name of fair access to business. In reality DHL and TNT cherry pick contracts such as utility bill distribution which merely involves backing up to a warehouse, all the mail is loaded in one go (typically 250,000 letters) and then trunked to a Royal Mail distribution centre where RM has to the expensive bit of many vans and people for the 'last mile'. This loses vast amounts of revenue to RM plus the cost of that last mile can be more than their share of the stamp.

Those two main problems are then compounded by the civil service nature of the culture within RM, plus in my experience downright ignorance and stupidity in relation to the real world on the roads. In real world road haulage they wouldn't last a fortnight.

hard to understand this collapse.
overseas business, parcels and packets, look strong.
letters are weak.
cost reduction measures and headcount reduction being implemented.

A dramatic collapse from £6.3 to £2.62 in such short time.
