So net profit at year end was 259 million giving a p/e of 15.11 as it stands now. Surely this still isn't cheap or am I missing something?

encarter, wouldn't be surprised if there is some truth in that. Management depress the share price in order to dilute shareholder equity as little as they can for them. Everyone else can sell out for pennies.

UK market has been hammered this year in general, because of Brexit. So much pessimism around it's unreal. I would load up on UK stocks right now, which have good growth ahead, like Just Eat for example.

Though yes, the stock is oversold, and is a STRONG BUY right now. All the management care about is protecting the divi, your capital will be eroded regardless.

No one cares about this stock either way, it's not exactly going to make you rich or give you a return higher than the S&P 500. Royal mail is basically a 5% proxy bond, you collect your dividend and keep quiet. There are so many parcel delivery services now and with everything going online (from birthday cards to bank statements), it's no wonder Royal Mail is going to the grave.
