Immigration from outside the EU has actually increased, it would seem that leaving the EU would mean less eastern europeans arriving this would be mitigated by those coming in from outside the eu !

largeronald - yes London has a very diverse population - but get yourself to Bradford, Leeds, in fact anywhere in Yorkshire and see the polish and other shops - town centres now exist where you don't hear anyone speaking English anymore....

The £ is back down to 1.15€. This bank share is down nearly 6%. The CBI and TUC have joined forces -- unusual in itself -- to write to the Govt to warn them that a No Deal Brexit would have long term negative repercussions today. More than 1 million UK residents have signed a HoC Petition to stop Brexit ...

And you think we should occupy the space here today exchanging views on the future share price of RBS in a vacuum?

Macron has throughout this process wanted the UK out. He hopes Paris will replace the City of London as the leading European financial centre.

I was on a family holiday on the Canal du Midi some 25 years ago. One night we ate with a French investment banker and his family. He was lamenting that Margaret Thatcher's deregulation of the City of London had enabled it to steal a lead over Paris and secure European and transatlantic financial services.

When elected president, Macron, promised to make Paris a strong financial centre.

He knows that the UK crashing out without a deal makes it easier for him to achieve that ambition.
