20/3/2019 18:44 | Hi Bar. Just the usual updates with not a great amount of detail, other than it may be 2020 before further payments can be made. There are further updates regarding Walsh who appears to have been a central player in this mess, of which we claimants were substantially unaware . | m1k3y1

20/3/2019 09:51 | GDP per capita is a useful measure of a successful economy. Another is earnings .. The increase of 1.1% in Luxembourg's minimum wage has been approved in parliament. The new rates will come into effect from January 1, 2019. The minimum wage for unskilled workers will rise to €2,071.07 per month and €2,485.29 for skilled workers from January 2019. | leedskier
20/3/2019 08:59 | Leeds...UK GDP is 2nd in Europe. If you are going on GDP per capita then Luxembourg comes out top! | cfc1
19/3/2019 22:49 | The UK has had little control over its own destiny since it put itself in hoc to the USA to fund its role in WWII and post-war for a guaranteed supply of nuclear weapons and recently stealth fighter jets. The UK is 7th in the table which records the percentage of GDP spent on defence. Geographically the UK is not large. Quite small actually. In the population league table it is 21st, In terms of GDP per capita, though that may deteriorate if there is no deal, the UK is only 39th. Where the UK does come top is in the quality of its PL football clubs. However most of those are foreign owned, foreign managed and a large percentage of those playing in the PL are overseas nationals. | leedskier
19/3/2019 19:03 | I agree, it's a ridiculous situation that we're not in control of our own destiny That such small countries have so much say in what we can and can't do is ludicrous. | bonda67
19/3/2019 18:29 | bonda67 - I was being sarcastic! These countries and 23 of the 27 eu countries are nothing to us!!!! | cfc1
19/3/2019 17:42 | cfc119 Mar '19 - 15:55 - 152346 of 152349 0 1 0 well looks like the eu leaders will decide whether we get an extension or not..that includes, Greece, Estonia, croatia, lithuania and other world leading countries., How has it got to a point where our fate is determined by such countries??!! We really just need to leave and make our own way. | bonda67
19/3/2019 17:14 | agreed smurfs and I cant see why...but, hey, we get a v good divi ! | cfc1

19/3/2019 15:55 | well looks like the eu leaders will decide whether we get an extension or not..that includes, Greece, Estonia, croatia, lithuania and other world leading countries., NO DEAL for me! | cfc1
19/3/2019 15:07 | I'll give you £10 for your shares. | tradejunkie2
19/3/2019 11:27 | Yes the prospect of UK car showrooms and forecourts replacing their stock of over priced BMWs and Mercs with cheap and cheerful pre-owned Wuling Hongguang cars is mouth watering. | leedskier |
