I agree that it is a very bad deal in the sense that Britain will be reduced to third nation status in its dealings with the EU.

There is need for a public vote on the deal. Any claim Corbyn may make that the Labour Party would negotiate a better deal is tosh.

The choices are stark. (1) the UK accepts the EU's terms, (2) leaves on a 'no deal' basis or (3) remains within the EU.

What we come to now is the brexiteer stance that no brexit is preferable to any deal. They're narrowing the whole debacle down to 2 options - a general election or another referendum.

edit: So we lose the brexit secretary - a man who it took 3 months to realise that Britain has ports and that very occasionally goods from the eu come through them. Now there's a serious loss to the government.
