Very much so .. the US looks after itself, first, last and always.

It has always been like this for as long as I recall.

The USA puts up trade barriers as soon as there is any perceived challenge to their supremacy.

This is why the idea of the USA offering the UK a sweetheart deal post Brexit is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

at this stage it is just a proposal to hit Bombardier.
It shows what sore losers Boing are when they lose out on a significant contract.
Protectionism.

FTSE100 flat.

A glance at Cable suggests that when the £ rises as it did earlier, the Index falls.

When, as now the £ falls, the Index recovers.

Is it a 'pair trade'?

How would he go about winding up existing PFI contracts?

As is acknowledged by McDonnell

Over the next few decades, nearly two hundred billion is scheduled to be paid out of public sector budgets in PFI deals. In the NHS alone, £831m in pre-tax profits have been made over the past six years. As early as 2002 this conference regretted the use of PFI.

There is an irony here, because it was the Labour Party that went big on PFI to fund hospitals.

Leeds the common market vote was nothing like the subsequent agreements signed by prime ministers

If it was then remain in the common market would have won by a landslide. In fact there would not have even been a referendum

Dope, didn't you vote last time?

On 5 June 1975, Britain held its first referendum on whether the UK should stay or leave the European Community (Common Market). The majority voted Yes - 17,378,581 people (67.2 per cent) - to remain in Europe.

We voted out Leeds, and that is what should happen. the referendum is a specific issue which the result of must be implemented to maintain democracy. We were signed into the EU as it is today with no votes and in my view those who signed away our sovereignty had no rights to do so. The EU is nothing more than a bankers paradise with 1 central bank ruling the economies of many via the Euro. I note they are insisting all members adopt the euro to ensure full power over the money supply. That alone is one massive reason I voted out, and those in there like Greece are finding out the hard way as will others
