Interesting:

Jeremy Corbyn has come under fire from senior party figures and rivals for the Labour leadership after refusing to rule out campaigning to take the UK out of the EU.

On a rather more serious note, leedskier:

I was wondering, over lunch, what Mr Corbyn's position with regards to remaining in the European Union is; I suppose I should check.

A raging debate in 2014 was whether the City could survive without any British global Investment Banks.

The City may, but London equities are toast.

RBS - lots of reasons for it to go up over 12 months and few for it to go down.

Headlines like "China worries fade" do not help assuage when the FTSE100 has been raped and pillaged this week.Nor will a 40 point rise offer much comfort to those unwise enough to put their trust in the integrity of London market. We learnt under Gordon Brown's regulation lite that the City is an out of control attack dog.Whatever measures have been brought in to regulate the banks and FICC market, do not fill the gaping hole created by insider trading, high speed trading or role of spread netting companies in all of this.

I personally think that the problem is not the Chinese currency which until Monday evening was pegged to the USD, but the divergence between the EURO and USD.

The US Investment banks have caused all of this. They have to sort it out.
