Leeds, you're going to like the start menu. Best of Windows 7 with the Windows 8 apps running there as well in tiles, which update with latest news/weather/stock prices etc.

I like that the search bar is always visible. I can just type what l want to google too.

I have a Windows laptop as a backup for my Mac and wondered whether to upgrade it now or wait for the first major update.

I look forward to hearing more from you as to how it works.

Just installed Windows 10, which is just wonderful. Best of Window 7 and Window 8. The Microsoft Edge browser just rocks.

Goodbye google Chrome.

Shaf200,
You buy ion advance of it announcing a dividend not after otherwise you've missed all the capital gains. You will see a much higher capital gain here then Lloyds that's for sure. What's another year wait given how long it's taken so far?

This extract is from an article in the Telegraph written in March 2014. Whether one shares the opinion or rejects it, the fact is that Britain no longer has any leading Global Investment Banks.

The waning of European investment banks, and particularly UK-based businesses, has alarmed some in the City, who worry about the return to a market once again dominated by Wall Street firms.

“Wimbledonisation” – a reference to the tennis championships – is a hotly talked about topic in London, as City professionals argue whether it is a good thing that London should be a marketplace for global firms, despite having few homegrown players.

No signs of a dividend for another minimum 18 months. .. I hope people haven't been buying for long term hold now... i'm looking to get in this time next year. ...Lloyds much better investment instead...

astol....well true words man! Pullback is profit taking and amall PIs..but I think a new uptrend will be established. getting gov't out is a good think. Clearly it wont be at £5!!!! but it wont be at 3.5 either! but the net is that gov't out is a key milestone. Wouldn't be surprised if RBS becomes a target for takeover either

cfc1-you only make a profit when you have closed/sold your position/shares!!!
Have to say I am not invested in RBS but am in Barclays.Maybe the pullback to negative on the RBS share price is the Gov selling more shares after the good early rise.

This why major British banks are shrinking their investment banking businesses.

Looks like the FTSE will be red within 20 minutes at this rate.

Pitiful.

Any DOW gain gone but ready to fall with the DOW if it is gloomy today.

Good Morning.

The FTSE100 is indeed giving up some of its opening rise.

Lazy trading in the City when the computers do all the thinking and work.

The market equivalent of bread making machines.

They should do exactly like Lloyds and run a program, they have been reducing the stake in Lloyds by 1% every 10 days or so, been a wonderful success.

for those selling....fair play but this is usual pattern...small PIs taking profit, dip then run again.....the bottom line is UK econ is strong, housing is crazy and confidence is back.....has to be good for our major banks - simple as that!!!
