Quite a rise. Like for like figures are a bit softer then I had expected. I'm expecting double digit growth in H2 due to forex though and perhaps low single digit l-f-l growth.

Analysts at Arbuthnot Securities said the results beat their expectations by a "sizeable margin", and they expect to lift their full-year forecast. On average, analysts expect the company to record full-year pre-tax profit of £86m, compared to £76.9m last year.

Nice break out after DOW open. Somebody bothered to act on the results by then it seems. Mild resistance predicted at £10 but £11, £12 is likely to be firmer.

No problem dasv - APG isn't a net working cap stock as liabilities just exceed working cap but like I said cheap if you add in the property etc.

TAIH is another but with a multibagger ability if all goes well. Discounting that though just have a look at it's net working cap vs market cap.....lots of cash too.

Well most of them are fairly illiquid so I don't want to say too much as I want to add. AVR is basically an investment in a sensational coin collection. Look at the balance sheet - half inventory, multiple receibables by 3/4 and add cash from this deduct all liabilities. It's a buy up to 7.6p on that...and halving inventory is a huge dicount imo. APG - cheap on it's property assets. Of the fixed assets about GBP 4.8m was last valued in April 1997 and they've receiving planning for the block of land they own opposite the factory. Redeemed the preference divi, paid back debt, returning to profitability, starting to pay a dive while most others are cutting the divi. Very good value imo.
