They are clearly buying as they know how this will play out.. Sell the Manchester depot and get involved with more profitable opportunities.

I have took 20000 of these as a starter position.Management have been in the bus game for many years and the continued levels of director buying makes me feel these shares are too cheap.Time will tell but to recommence dividends at a penny must show a bit of confidence.GLA

After reading war and peace, got the just of the figures..
Looks OK to me me, and looking to commence dividend at 5% at these levels.
Im happy to hold here, organic growth will certainly occur, and strong cash back fron Manchester outfit.
Also share buy back seems a no brainer, and board is now very insentivised...
Happy days. GLA

App creahed whilst I was typing ... so to continue ....So if they do end-up with spare dosh from forced Manchester sell-off then what opportunities are left to use it for acquisitions? The ROL management seem very professional so I hope I am wrong and recent, present, and future acquisitions turn out to be better than my glass half empty view....

I could add a fourth negative - Opportunities to expand by acquisition seem to be limited. They took over Zak's who didn't seem to be that good operationally when they were independent. Now they're taking over Claribel's (all 18 of the buses). My experience of Claribels wasn't that great either. (Last time I was on a Claribel's then there was a small sticked at front saying they were part of Arriva). So if they do realise some funds from sale of Greater Manchester operations then what

Unfortunately the North West operation is the biggest of the four Rotala companies. As mentioned in one article I came across whilst browsing today then other conurbations such as West Mids may follow the Manchester way. I'm no great fan of NX Bus in West Midlands for various reasons - was really hoping ROL could 'challenge' them. Looks like that is unlikely now. For ROL then I can see 3 negatives:1. The Manchester decision2. The increase in fuel prices (yes -NX are also affected by this but they carry more passengers per bus so proportionally less impact).3. Withdrawal of some subsidies coming in October. Johnson's of Henley in Arden likely to continued by Warwickshire as they have routes for which no alternative possible.
