As for our top politicians not supporting engineering.
Just look at their backgrounds.
They go to Oxbridge and study the Classics History or PPE.

Not an engineer in sight.
Far too plebeian.
Not a gentleman's subject.

They do not understand it, its history or importance.
...but the poems of Wordsworth, well now you are talking turkey.

Amazing how the markets give Tesla the benefit of the doubt on its long term future.
Tesla is profitless and they are assuming it will take a massive record market share in EV's with record profit margins.

By some great imagination they think they will make billions out of self drive vehicles with no competitors.

...but RR. are left at a low evaluation where no one has faith in its future prospects.
Long term there are many attractive opportunities for RR.
And its existing business is World class despite the setback from Covid.

It's laughable how certain posters on here try to Diss this share, like its some African oil company or a start up heath company or something. Thinking they are going to influence the share price.Please... stop wasting your time and your fingers typing, the only thing your doing is embarrassing yourselves.

Yes, Tories are not interested in UK engineering despite what they say. If they were interested in exporting British engineering product and services and UK manufacturing they would have done more to help the engineering companies and support UK steel.

Yet we see nothing from this bunch of charlatans who run our country and it is sickening to think that the world steel and iron industry pretty much started right here in Merthyr Tydfil.

And if the sub contract is awarded to the yanks RR will see none of it. Even so still years away from any serious money being earned. RR short to medium term outlook still depends on recovery of long haul flight. Govt haven't helped either, they could have given RR which is an absolutely critical national asset a boost by accelerated investment in SMR's but they have preferred to dole out billions to their buddies with spurios supply contracts for test, track and trace services and supply of ppe to nhs.

I LOVE RR engineering but I struggle to make a long-term investment case, especially when judged against other companies. Saying flights will resume back to norms isn't good enough as everybody pretty much knows that already.

The only people who killed the Lloyds thread were the Brexiters who don't have the courage to admit it has always been a failure or the capability to debate with facts and rationale.

In fact, many year's ago I wrote a long post stating the clear rationale why Lloyds would not reach 75p and I got lambasted for it being beyond the capability of many on that thread to understand what I wrote and it wasn't really complex at all.

Indeed, even if I hadn't turned up the Brexiters would have ruined the thread in exactly the same way it has been ruined now. Many more tolerant Remainers than I have been bullied away from that thread because of the shameful character assasinations that the Brexiters resort to because they aren't capable of anything else.

Sadly, you might find it here already. Don't say anything negative about RR folks, poor Little Englanders don't have the capacity to handle it.

If you give Min/MB a inch, he will kill this thread, just like he did with the old LLOY thread.

Terminator101...I see we have a raving loony on the thread. I filtered this pratt on the Lloyds thread for constant whining about Brexiters. What a whining loser!

People who know him say he weighs in at 300lb and trolls 24/7.

Filtered.

This has more to do with Boris pretending the UK is global and trying to put his two fingers up to the EU than anything else.

We can continue playing puppy to the US if you like but it is getting us nowhere.

Good luck to you Medieval Blacksmith, but your understanding of international relations is back there in the medieval times. If you bothered to do any research you would see that RR benefit considerably from their over 50 years of involvement in the nuclear propulsion programme.
