Another contract won in the US, the defense part of the business looks to be booming and with aviation just about to commence and cost cutting procedures under way, this is just going up

A credit rating of junk can be attributed to a number of ftse 100 companies now.

Political games by the USA credit agencies and so their mates can feed from the trough of RR competition. This is the same credit agency that had Enron AAA rating when they were priced 0 and massive corruption.Dont believe a word they say.UK government is guarantor. RR safe.

Don't get me wrong I would love these to hit £5 especially as I bought in just before they were declared junk

Was that a typo? £3.05 comes a long way before £3.50.

Huge pressure mounting on the government on removing 2 week quarantine, if this happens, Rolls Royce will be testing the highs, I believe government will remove it before its meant to go in effect

Can anyone remind me how frequently the composition of the FTSE 100 is reviewed please.
Is it done monthly or less frequently?

Hedgefunds reducing shorts is good.
Pension funds will be selling though - they not allowed to hold shares here now they are classified with an investment status of junk - that would be improper.
I expect that to have an effect for the next couple of months as they exit.

Splitting up RR is another option for gov if they have to get involved, the good bits and bad bits separated.

I lighten up in the morning taking some money off the table as chart supports are very dire . Will rethink at support level 235p to top up again.

On top of this, one hedge fund shorting has hugely reduced their position and only one remains, as aviation gets back to normal this also for and £5 a share will be fair value

Looks like Rolls Royces defence sector is doing very well this year, and with aviation about to restart, they have enough cash to get through this, also most of the staff are on furlough and therefore wage costs are hugely minimized, way overdone here, 2 pieces of news that a hedge fund sold and that we got downgraded by S and P which previously we were only ranked one tier higher, it was inevitable during this time. Only good times to come

100% right steeplejack. RR IS A GIANT and icon of British Industry. Even the significant American influence in the company can’t pull the strings. Very British and will remain so.
