Britain's energy problems could be solved permanently if the next UK Government installed wind farms in Ashton Under Lyne and the rest of Tameside, because Steven Gosling produces plenty of worthless hot air, on a daily basis !!

I wonder what effect a Net Zero, Anti-Fossil fuel Labour government will have this project? Can scum Starmer derail this project? I hope not cos the Falklands need this to go ahead. It will create huge wealth for the islands and its residents

Apart from the obvious issue of yet another diplomatic confrontation between the UK and Argentina that will result from Oil and Gas extraction from the South Atlantic ocean, Britain has already pledged to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, which includes Oil and Gas.

The 1970's and 1980's dash for Oil and Gas is over, the future is carbon neutral energy and clean power generation including solar power, wind power, wave power.

Better option for the Falkland Islands would be to install large quantities of both onshore and offshore wind farms

It’s quite a detailed article -

The territory’s ruling council has asked islanders if they will back the scheme to extract up to 500m barrels of oil from the Sea Lion field, 150 miles to the north.

It is difficult to see how this can go ahead. On the one hand, Argentina is against the impact of this within the disputed waters and their claimed territory. On the other hand, it will be in direct contravention of the UKs net zero forecasts and quickly destroy those pledges. I would think the solution will be emergency legislation within Parliament to put a block on the Islanders' wishes. Tick Tock as they say!

They ain't the only ones ?Man City should offload Grealish and buy this company ??Simples 123pre2rcdPosts: 406Price: 13.40No OpinionRE: 13.3Today 18:28Aedos took up circa 38m shares in the open offer of which they have basically made 100% return. I believe they are offloading a good chunk and why wouldn't they. This will depress the price but for how long?
