A couple of articles on the continuing Iron Ore run..........here's part of one, note price above 137 PT now ........Contrasting this bearish view on lithium, the iron ore market is experiencing near-record stock levels following Fortescue Metals Group (OTC:FSUGY)'s (FMG) annual general meeting (AGM). Iron ore demand has surged, pushing prices to $134 per tonne. This increase is largely driven by prospects of Chinese economic stimuli. The positive sentiment extends to other major miners such as BHP and Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO).

Massive capex on an underground copper mine, land locked between Russia and China for me.

Either country could wipe this out, bit like HSBC with China

Otherwise great company

I know the divi isn't what it was but for me RIO has to be right up there in terms of a solid long term buy and hold.

If you can add on dips, which always present themselves, then what's not to like from this solid global player.

Good luck all 👍🏻

Might sound like a broken record crafty, but you're right.

H2 for Rio (and BHP/AAL/VALE) will get a massive boost from the iron ore price.

Market way too focused on the copper price as an indicator of the health of the major diversified miners.

Yes RIO is really starting to wake up now and a repeat of what happened in late 22 / early 23 does seem possible!!

Good luck all 👍🏻

Approaching 18 month highs for Iron Ore. Markets are somewhat buoyant now. Could be a reasonable run to year end.

I think you have summed it up Flipper.

A hole with a liar on top is a bit strong but you can see where he is coming from. I for one am hoping we can expand our gold mining activities without blowing millions more on huge projects that no major is interested in.

Is the positive share price caused by a flight to safety?

Was this a bigger drop than normal (before it corrected)?

It was in line with the drop in others miners as per philanderer
