JPMorgan raises to 'neutral' from 'underweight'.

The target price has been raised from 5,440p to 6,000p

Rio Aud up overnight, Iron Ore now 120. Should be a good day again.

In London, mining stocks were the top performers in the FTSE 100 at the close on Monday. Fresnillo, Antofagasta, Rio Tinto and Anglo American finished 4.7%, 3.2%, 1.7%, and 1.5% higher, respectively.

The stocks were boosted amid hopes that China's economic troubles may be fading after figures over the weekend showed consumer prices in China edged back into positive territory.

Yes I heard on Bloomberg it was at a high since April.
Let's hope it gets above 135 and can set a new 2023 high.

Yes it's been a solid second half to August and a great start to September too.
I should have been braver in adding but never mind and let's hope we keep pushing on.

Iron ore price spiking up, now 115. Bodes well for RIO. Looking at a good run to Friday. Sub 50 is a bargain.

Ok, all my mining stocks are up today! Have the Chinese just decided that the are not having a property led recession?

I give up! Mining stocks are for income and as such a longterm investment. I think I shall give up reading the business pages in the press.

Over the last number of years 4500p has been a decent price to invest further. A good day today. When RIO moves up well I'm a happy camper.
