Many companies, some large have tried to muscle their way in but have faded away after spending many millions.
The agents need the exposure, so Rightmove benefits as they recommend customers looking to rent or buy to search on Rightmove

Thanks helpaargh. So in a weak housing market, their risk is estate agents going bust rather than transaction volumes falling

RMV have a quasi monopoly position, which is obviously attractive as part of an investment

Hello

I've never really looked at RMV before. In terms of their business model, does anyone know whether they charge flat fees to agents (I guess in various tiers depending on size of agent and usage) and/or how tied are they to volumes and/or prices?
Thanks

Adam

Very strong of late in a weak market so perhaps something going on.

Considering listings are at a low because no one has any stock to sell or let even odder.

Bit weird, my trade went through 10p above market price.

Will a bid turn up on Monday or was it just because Los Angeles Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management, LLC was buying? Now up to 12%.

As I said best ever results (And during a pandemic mark you) will result in a best-ever price.

My considered opinion is that those that sold today have slightly dropped one.

EPS growth into the future is baked in here due to incredible cashflows and buy-back policy

Yes, excellent results and more importantly a bullish outlook. However i wonder if the price is now up with events, i have sold out this morning after a very decent rerate. High quality company with a virtual monopoly but up with events. I will return on any pullback!

We should get a pre-closing trading update before end of June which should be very positive. Confirmation of recovered margins and booming sales, the only caution could be supply of housing stock as developers slow down or postpone new builds until the materials price and shortages correct themselves.

Over the last dozen years or so this company has bought back 1/3rd of it's own shares and cancelled them. Astonishing. Clearly they intend to do this forever. More EPS for shareholders then.

Carries no inventory. No moving parts. Price setter, not a price taker. Good stock for inflationary times.

Going to do well now? Take a look at the housing market and I think you have your answer.
