30/3/2019 19:20 | Fallout From Apple ITP Is Severe – And 7 Other Takeaways From Google Exec Sean Downey At Industry Preview "It's not too soon, however, to talk about the fallout from Apple's Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP), which has been severe." This was the number one talking point from all advertisers and agencies at CES noisier than October [when Apple released a very difficult-to-track iPhone] because people were going through the results and seeing the impact. Programmatic is based on the ability to use third-party cookies to track and target. When that's interrupted, there's an impact to your results and how you do business. It's a pretty substantial impact." | sikhthetech
30/3/2019 19:19 | oh dear, yet another Industry Challenge... Google's version of ITP... What Would Google Chrome’s Version of ITP Look Like? "Chrome blocking third-party cookies could break much of ad tech by inhibiting retargeting. The news caused analysts to downgrade their rating of Criteo, which relies on third-party trackers for retargeting. Criteo’s stock declined over 25% from Friday to Thursday." "Restrictions on third-party cookies will also prevent third-party vendors like DSPs and DMPs from syncing up, hampering activities like data onboarding, said Jounce Media founder Chris Kane. Plus, blocking third-party cookies puts “the nail in the coffin for independent attribution,” he added." | sikhthetech

30/3/2019 16:40 | JonC, I'm not positive about the merger and combined prospects... rthm's full stack hasn't worked, the Industry challenge are mounting up "moving to fewer SSPs/DSPs" is probably what hit rthm/TAP and other Industry Challenges like GDPR, move to fee transparency, Apple's ITP is likely to hit the ad tech ecosystem hard this year and next... When Rubicon abandoned buy side fees, their revenues fell by more than 50%.. How dependant are rthm on fees?.. their court case with DataXu... The rthm events just before the merger deal... Rthm's history of failed acquisitions... AdOn Network, Blinkx, Verti Tech fallout... Too many red flags.. It will be sometime before we know whether the merger is going as planned...like Yume, I expect disappointing results... Plenty of time for traders or a punt but not an investment... | sikhthetech

30/3/2019 12:36 | yes but is it bye to the gang with their multiple ids... NO..... RINSE AND SPIN... WELL DONE to all the contrarian posters who couldn't be swayed by the gang and their multiple ids and who continued to advise caution and warn about rthm's history of failing to back up their bullish comments, their repeated failed acquisitions and the ever increasing Industry Challenges which continue to plague the ad tech industry... | sikhthetech

29/3/2019 19:19 | oh well... Stage 5 worked out well...As expected then... multiple id confidence trickers gone awol... I wonder how many confidence tricksters with their multiple ids will play the old 'divide and rule' card.... RINSE AND SPIN... ;-) sikhthetech - 18 Dec 2017 - 14:00:42 - 2749 of 11193 RTHM - RTHM the scaffolders and their multi id confidence trickster gang always try playing the old victim card ... lol Rinse and spin.... The FCA is closing in...keep voting those posts down and watching over your shoulder.. Stage 5 is coming... lol | sikhthetech
29/3/2019 19:11 | 1gw, That's your problem, 1gw... You're clueless about the company, the industry they operate in and any challenges/opportuni all you posts about is institutions and figures, those confidence boosting notes, even though it's blatantly clear that rthm had a long history of posting bullish comments and not backing them up..... There's more to a company than II holding... But you do sound really bitter.... lost the wannabe Cheerleader status and need to get it back, eh... ;-) It doesn't matter what BS you post or twist it, the facts and posts are there for all to see... lol | sikhthetech
29/3/2019 18:57 | Yes, stt, but the point is 14th Sept 2014 was 8 months after the blog, when it was blindingly obvious (except perhaps to stocky) that institutions were selling out. Here's a post from me in July commenting on institutions deserting blinkx: And here's one from October with some data: So despite what goes on on these threads, the contrarian play from somewhere in 2014 onwards has been to buy blinkx/R1 in my opinion. i.e. the institutions pretty much abandoned blinkx in 2014 and although there have been individual institutions who have bought (e.g. Toscafund, R&M, Cogefi, Lombard Odier) since then, I've seen no convincing evidence at any point since 2014 that there has been widespread institutional support for blinkx/R1. So the "contrarian" play has been (since sometime in 2014) and remains to buy blinkx/R1, IMO. You're not "contrarian" you're just trolling holders as far as I can see. | 1gw
29/3/2019 18:34 | Oh dear, 1gw....still a bitter, clueless and sore loser 1gw, I wonder why? sore loser comes to mind.... you're one of those who will now say it was obvious? You can't handle it, can you, being proved wrong so many times... Still eager to know what is known, eh....lol Blinkx contrarian thread created 14th Sept 2014.... ;-) | sikhthetech
29/3/2019 18:27 | If only you'd been one of them, eh stt, and listened to Chris when he was warning you about the company before the blog? It's all very well jumping on the bandwagon when they're already beaten up, but it doesn't get your money back, does it? Weren't the real contrarian investors those who sold ahead of the blog, when most were buying, or bought after the blog - when the institutions were selling? Still, looking on the bright side, at least you stand to get back quite a bit of time through only having one ADVFN tap bulletin board to copy everything to. | 1gw |
