01/4/2019 10:29 | Excellent links as always Sikh, Criteo certainly got hammered recently over the rumours that Google were to introduce restrictions on cookies as Apple had done. Going from a high of 28.25 to an intra day low of 17.40 recently, so a 40% falloff before their recent bounce. They seemed to have weathered the storm with the Apple changes in 2018 and had a very strong Q4, beating revenue guidance as they often seem to do. Google might be a very different matter but they seem to believe it will not happen. Who knows, but an interesting situation here for risk takers. | gowlane

01/4/2019 09:52 | Interesting link sikhers...which is one of the main reason for getting out of the industry for share dealing. The market is extremely corrupt and led by a few making shedloads...but this, in whatever guise they choose to use, will carry on milking shareholders for every penny and the only people that will earn anything out of it will be the management. | jwoolley

01/4/2019 09:43 | Sizmek Files for Chapter 11 Private equity-owned programmatic outfit is the latest casualty in an industry dominated by big tech "As speculation rises over the future of the entire ad-tech ecosystem, independent ad tech outfit Sizmek has filed voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petitions." 31/3/2019 17:37 | where have all the Shroder gang gone... All those posters with their knowledge of the company and inside contacts.... proved to be COMPLETELY wrong... ah, the family... looking after each other's backs... ;-) "1gw - 09 Nov 2015 - 15:14:17 - 10868 of 11771 blinkx - BLNX Somewhat wary of doing this, but if it helps, I can confirm that I do now talk fairly frequently to shroder about blinkx and other investments that one or both of us may hold. As it seems very difficult to have a sensible and balanced conversation on these blinkx bulletin boards about common investing questions of interest, we have reverted to the more time-consuming but ultimately more effective method of direct communication for some discussions." football - 29 Apr 2015 - 14:03:45 - 94378 of 107028 Shroder=Orslega I don't think so and I will have a bit more money on it than BARKBOO BARKBOO - 29 Apr 2015 - 13:54:38 - 94376 of 107028 Pinky pants - can I have £250 that Shroder is not Orslega as well? BARKBOO 20 May'15 - 08:05 - 40750 of 40754 2 1 <...> I wanted to congratulate Digi for his great understanding of so many posters and their positions, as well as his knowledge of this company - Jarvis for being a complete gentleman as well as his knowledge of this company - Loaf, for being one step ahead of the opposition, and a shrewd guy as well as his knowledge of this company - Shroder for his long outside shift and inside contacts that he shares, as well as his knowledge of this company - and of course all other family members that have been thoroughly decent during this hard time, and their knowledge of this company. BARKBOO - 01 Nov 2018 - 07:02:48 - 7292 of 7798 "The family manage to have nice houses, cars, holidays and social lives - we have had two or three big pay days here, with the fourth on its way - it sounds to me like you traded your pot like the others on here..and like the rags, you done a bit of swirling! Until you realise that Digi, Jarvis, Footy, Loaf and family were correct - and you were in fact the plank..that other life that was so good you are back - will continue to swirl!" 1gw28 Apr '18 - 22:43 - 7236 of 8569Moderate | Ban 0 1 0 <...> I think probably only football and barkboo post anything like as much quantity as you and their posting is entirely consistent with being very long R1, so no need to ask them for a backstory. 1gw28 Apr '18 - 23:30 - 7238 of 8569Moderate | Ban 0 2 0 They don't need to give a backstory because they are transparent. | sikhthetech

31/3/2019 13:07 | thanks JonC, Yet another industry challenge coming up... Following on from Apple's ITP, Google's version of ITP to come... What Would Google Chrome’s Version of ITP Look Like? "Chrome blocking third-party cookies could break much of ad tech by inhibiting retargeting. The news caused analysts to downgrade their rating of Criteo, which relies on third-party trackers for retargeting. Criteo’s stock declined over 25% from Friday to Thursday." "Restrictions on third-party cookies will also prevent third-party vendors like DSPs and DMPs from syncing up, hampering activities like data onboarding, said Jounce Media founder Chris Kane. Plus, blocking third-party cookies puts “the nail in the coffin for independent attribution,” he added." Fallout From Apple ITP Is Severe “ And 7 Other Takeaways From Google Exec Sean Downey At Industry Preview "It's not too soon, however, to talk about the fallout from Apple's Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP), which has been severe." This was the number one talking point from all advertisers and agencies at CES“ noisier than October [when Apple released a very difficult-to-track iPhone] because people were going through the results and seeing the impact. Programmatic is based on the ability to use third-party cookies to track and target. When that's interrupted, there's an impact to your results and how you do business. It's a pretty substantial impact." | sikhthetech
