"it is no surprise to me that Rhythm1 relocated Apec offices to Singapore."

That was all part of the Rad1 acquisition... they already had an office in Oz where ad tech was saturated...so decided to move to Singapore...

Singapore is also home to Equinix’s Asia-Pacific Network Operation Center, so is the natural place to be for ad tech companies in that region... nothing surprising there...

My previous post:

sikhthetech - 14 Dec 2017 - 13:36:52 - 6135 of 10996 RHYTHMONE - new Name, new Beginning??? - RTHM
3 weeks after an article said MD of Rad1 is to move to Singaport, Adam Furness, MD of Rad1 resigns..

"San Francisco-based RhythmOne, which specialises in cross-device content management, is planning to shift the RadiumOne APAC HQ away from its current base in Sydney, Australia, and create a team of 20 people in Singapore.

One of those relocating from Sydney will be Adam Furness, RadiumOne’s managing director, who will take on a similar role under RhythmOne."

RhythmOne APAC MD Adam Furness to exit

"At the time the deal saw Asia-Pacific boss Kerry McCabe exit and in August Furness moved from his Australia and New Zealand role into an APAC role – but still based in Sydney.

His exit comes just six months after the acquisition.

momewrath I’m glad I helped your friends get in in the 140s, it’s good to know my insights here are appreciated by some at least :)

Sadly, I took my eye off the ball and wasn’t around to take advantage myself when Taptica issued their positive trading update. Good luck to you though anyway!

Sikhy - I think this deal has been in the making for quite some time. Directors move on, as will Eric. The writing has been on the wall and some of Rhythm's CFO's have been found wanting! None of this boardroom powerplay make this a poor deal. Rhythmone, despite excellent technology, still suffering a poor reputation thanks to Blinx legacy. I guess it's like having an F1 winning car and only Mr. Bean to drive it. Well watch out Sihky, it's now in pole position and Druker's driving it! Whole new markets opening up in Apec countries and 1.4 billion Chinese consumers too. The chequered flag awaits Druker's flying machine. PS, it is no surprise to me that Rhythm1 relocated Apec offices to Singapore...Guess where Tremor have a regional office?

Joe,
I didn't say Singer received Cash... the BoD decide to 'sell' rthm on within months of taking it over.. unfavourable terms and the share price now is massively lower than when the rthm/Yume takeover was announced..

Sept 2017 - Yume/Takeover announced. share price around 370p
Feb 2018 - Yume/Takeover completed share price around 270p

current. share price around 170p...

Given rthm supposedly doing well, growing, cash generative, proposed buy back etc, seems a very bad deal...

Singer couldn't get rthm/Yume to work but you think Druker will.... Really...

You don't suppose rthm BoD found anything untoward which resulted in the 2 CFOs resigning...

How many of the rthm BOD are moving to the new TAP to take advantage of this 'significant niche in the Video/CTV Market????'

Not odd at all!Tap have been cash accretive this year and are building a significant niche in the video/CTV market. Tremor and Yume will be a force to be reckond with. I know your not a Druker fan but I think he will get Yume firing on all fours. Time will tell; in the meantime keep trolling - it's working for me!

"This merger has massive potential."

Does it, why?

Rthm have been running a full stack for years. They have been making losses for years...

2 CFOs within a space of 5 Months..

rthm BOD moves to rthm from Yume in Feb 2018 and then decides to 'sell' it on within months and don't move to TAP to take advantage of this 'massive potential' that you mention... Seems very odd, don't you think...

Speak for yourself Sikhy as I think you'll find a lot of Rhythm shareholders are doing OK! I know several, who have bought in in the 140's recently mainly thanks to you, Rocket and Archy. The more negative and desperate your posts became the more it seemed it was a good time to buy. Refer to one of my recent posts! You stated recently that the share price in this merger will remain volatile. A good opportunity then, to build a position don't you think? This merger has massive potential. But you know that don't you? PS DYOR!

Yes, but the Barky goalposts are forever changing. Whatever level the share price gets to, Barky and scaffolders bought below it. If it went bust he'd claim to have preference shares. But joking aside ... a sad state of affairs. If they'd just dissolved the company and distributed the cash shareholders would have been better off.

Look at the dates on 10992...

SupportFreeContent.. is this coincidence???

SupportFreeContent was described as a Pioneering Initiative in fy2017 results...

"Another pioneering initiative designed to enhance the experience for RhythmOne publishers is called Support Free Content. This initiative arose out of the need to recapture revenues lost due to ad blocking. Support Free Content helps publishers address ad blocking by offering consumers choice - gating their access to publisher content via a set of monetization options that range from subscription, to white listing within their ad-blocker, to downloading a browser extension that provides alternative avenues for monetization."

According to Alexa, seems like it was closed around Aug/Sept 2017, during the latest reported fy, fy2018

So it seems like it was closed around Sept 2017, possibly when the rthm/Yume deal was confirmed..
