S&P Global Ratings published today an ESG Evaluation Report on Renewi PLC

Renewi received a relatively high score 75/100 and caused the stock to rally slightly as some inflows from ESG dedicated funds sre to be expected.

Hopefully, some more positive coverage like this and inclusion to ESG indices will attract investor interest from ESG ETFs, Thematic Funds, EnvironmentImpact Funds etc. The good score of 75 also gives higher weighting in S&P ESG Indices once included.

Renewi says no new shares will be issued, see below.

Secondary listing
Preparatory work for the Group's proposed secondary listing on Euronext continues and we expect to list in early 2020. No new shares are expected to be issued at the point of the secondary listing and the Company will remain listed on the premium segment of the Official List in London.


So I assume there are two options: i) they will give us the option to convert our GBP shares into EUR and move them to Euronext, ii) issue EUR depository receipts.

I wonder if RWI will issue new shares to float on Euronext, which would not help the share price, but would help their debt.

Reports this weekend that KKR is bidding for Viridor. Viridor (and partly Biffa) are the British versions of Renewi.



"Investment bankers from Morgan Stanley and Barclays are understood to have been appointed to sell Viridor, which burns rubbish to generate energy, amid frenzied buyout interest...The move is understood to have shocked a slew of interested parties queuing up to land one of Britain’s most sought-after investments of 2020."

All the bad news has been dealt with it’s a company that is focused on circular and green activities, services not just that society need, but the types of services governments and large organisations are being pressured into using fir the green credentials. We live in an era where it’s no longer about lowest cost, the footprint of how products and services are created is so important and Renewi is ideally placed to benefit from such pressures.

Tight spreads and increased volumes, thanks for highlighting could mean a big move in the offing keep watching it. Listing on Euronext is no bad thing, Euronext itself has been a half decent investment of late, becoming dominant in Europe. I think its undervalued compared to the LSE, but for now markets think otherwise.
