07/11/2019 15:12 | Looks like ATM news is imminent | eentweedrie
07/11/2019 11:01 | I can see a brightish future. With another 12 months like the last we can expect the operational cost savings coming through, lower finance costs, the extra payments from the Canadian business sold ,the soil problems being resolved, the pushing through of higer prices. All that is totally do-able. I can see 40p with the yield at 3.625% within the next 12 months. The results presentation flags up some positives. They have a plan and they seem credible, so while this is a company with a lot of problems, they look capable of working through them.Indeed they already are. The sector is difficult, so much has gone wrong, but society and the governments need the circular waste to products economy to work.In Benolux , where they are centred, the need for their services is vital. These are very densely populated places with tough and ever toughening regulations. The ATS backlog is stalling the building sector in Holland so minds will be focussed on getting it sorted. RWI are at the heart of the solutions that society demands and will prosper. All IMHO , of course. | robsy2
07/11/2019 09:50 | In line - but talk of near term macro econ weakness and longer term opportunities, hmmm. Debt slowly being brought under control is positive but anyone convinced there is significant upside from here in the immediate future? | its the oxman
07/11/2019 09:18 | Short summary (from IR Renewi): - Solid first half trading in line with expectations - Good performance in core Commercial Division, with revenue up 5% and underlying EBIT1 up 13% on a like for like basis - Good progress in Hazardous Waste Division as ATM scales up capacity for manufacture of new building materials and awaits final regulatory approval having successfully completed testing of thermally treated soil stocks - Initial deleveraging actions delivered, with strategic disposals of Canada Municipal and Reym for aggregate cash proceeds of up to €118m - Planning for next phase of business simplification and efficiency improvements, Renewi 2.0, well underway for implementation following successful delivery of €40m integration synergies by March 2020 - Executive Committee of Renewi strengthened with four key hires | sjoerdaktetas
07/11/2019 09:16 | That 109k trade is def not a sell - was doing a dummy trade just before and was getting way less offered for a lot less | eentweedrie
07/11/2019 08:08 | The Dutch are REKNOWN for being extremely fussy re regs etc.comes from being a native hehe | eentweedrie
07/11/2019 08:06 | ditto - I have made good money from a similar strategy. | eentweedrie
07/11/2019 08:04 | Yes a bit meh, but there are worse businesses to be invested in. I'm a sucker for a good turnaround story though and I think RWI has a decent narrative unfolding so I'll keep holding. | dplewis1
07/11/2019 08:01 | not bad - no definitive news re ATM REG but not bad | eentweedrie
06/11/2019 17:29 | Well good luck all - really hoping that mngt can give us long suffering s/h a nice surprise tomorrow | eentweedrie
06/11/2019 16:30 | Not sure if it is a big day tomorrow , I mean they gave the market a trading update 5 weeks ago, unless they have importanat news that they have held back. | robsy2
06/11/2019 16:14 | yep - have over gbp 50k now invested here, am expecting a def uplift in the short to medium term | eentweedrie
06/11/2019 15:22 | Big day tomorrow. Also added some shares. Average price decreased to 0,42. I really think that Renewi is undervalued since all negative events are priced in at the moment. I have confidence in this firm! | sjoerdaktetas
06/11/2019 14:19 | these shorters are going to have their nuts given to them | eentweedrie
05/11/2019 13:22 | Thanks George. In case anyone else wants to see what Maurits von Martels said on Nov 1, here is a translation. "Made a very valuable working visit this morning at@TheoPouwGroep in Utrecht. In recent years, the company has constantly had to adapt to new government requirements. Problems with regard to TGG (Thermally Cleaned Soil) must be solved immediately!" | gregsc
05/11/2019 11:04 | Actually last Friday night the regulator released an infographic on Thermally Treated Soil and the key risks across the supply chain, which probably means that have done all the tests and determined the risks. hxxps://www.ilent.nl They are mentioning that the soil "can be made suitable for reuse". But I can't find any final Govt decision on re-opening the market. Also Maurits von Martels who is an MP for the government coalition twitted that the TGG (Thermisch Gereinigde Grond) issues need to solved immediately. Let's see what Renewi says on the call. | george stobbart
31/10/2019 13:37 | Haha I thought the same thing. They are cheap now though. | theolonghair
30/10/2019 17:25 | Whoops.. 20's again..! | dplewis1
17/10/2019 17:13 | Dont think we will ever see the 20's again at this rate. Plsed to have held on | eentweedrie
17/10/2019 11:31 | One negative and one positive. - Negative currency effect: A strong Sterling is negative for Renewi as it trades in GBP but >80% of revenue come in EUR and it reports financials in EUR + Positive: Absence of hard Brexit, less barriers to move waste from the UK to the Netherlands (predominately to the AEB Amsterdam incinerator) | george stobbart
17/10/2019 10:54 | Thanks for your response George, clear! Another question: How do you look at the BREXIT deal news of today for Renewi? This should also give some extra support the coming days/weeks right? And more in detail, how beneficial is it for Renewi itself that there is a deal instead of the no-deal? | sjoerdaktetas
15/10/2019 14:22 | Yes that's correct - IL&T (the Dutch inspectorate) has received ATM's results from last month that came out clean and is expecting the results of the other competitor of ATM in Oct to make to a decision. But lets just not build high expectations ahead of 7th Nov yet. The Dutch regulator has been very stringent and slow in making decisions. Remember that from early 2020, the new Facilities for secondary material separation will become operational that can take >50% of legacy ATM's soil volume. So ATM will effectively become obsolete in a 2-3 months anyway regardless of the regulator decision. Also the new facilities according to Renewi will have at least as good margins as legacy ATM. | george stobbart
15/10/2019 09:58 | So basically it's now waiting untill the ER in November right..? In my opinion, everything starts to look brighter compared to the last 12 months. Finally we have seen some 'good' news, but of course we have to wait untill the real important news is released (full recovery of ATM division e.g.). I have confidence in this company and think it's very undervalued at this point. I think that institutional investors will return to this company once the ATM issue is fully resolved and then I expect a quick return to 50-60p levels in short-term | sjoerdaktetas
07/10/2019 07:32 | George, I don't usually post on ADVFN,, but I would like to say how much I appreciate your contributions to the debate on Renewi | robcoo |
