8robson: Unlike many I see the power in the short term catalysts over the next few months. It doesn't take much to spurn the momentum needed to push the share price up. As cliched as the advice is, patients is needed in investing. It was hard to envision the permit approval coming in before it did and predicting precise dates was impossible. But anybody who sold prior missed out on 40% growth in less than a week or 2. To not wait for one of the biggest drivers of net income on the future guidance seems ridiculous

markjb49: Yes I believe it will be those things eg confirmation of customers and revenue forecasts which will send share price a lot higher in the longer term. The next five months is plagued with external problems from China to brexit trade agreements.....

mathurin1: Renewi with the Amsterdam listing was mentioned by the Investors Chronicle yesterday- first time I have seen Renewi mentioned by the UK press - hasn’t moved the share price!

gregsc: I wonder if RWI will issue new shares to float on Euronext, which would not help the share price, but would help their debt.

markjb49: Was Collector I understand why you may feel this way. I spend an hour a day watching this company. I too have been investing for decades and I hold nearly 4 million shares in this company and I don’t think dragging dubious allegations against a board member is going to help the share price. So from a selfish point of view your not really doing me any favours

markjb49: How could he have insider information? Renewi already disclosed they had passed the checks and they were awaiting for government policy change. Even if he heard a leak from the Dutch government that wouldn’t be classed as insider trading as it didn’t come from within Renewi. The share price was over a £1 before this crisis broke, yes few minor other blips but the company is in a better position than it was at the time the share price was three times what it is today. It’s more common sense to buy in at today’s levels. I am surprised the price isn’t over 50p already and didn’t rise significantly in October when they confirmed they had passed all the tests.

markjb49: I think the results and revised expectations going forwards are likely to have biggest results. It’s pay day tomorrow as well 👍. Hopefully will raise future dividends which will boost share price

mathurin1: I cannot fathom how this forum is virtually dead for following Renewi- It only goes to show that a listing in Amsterdam is urgentissimo. Clearly those illuminated British traders/investors have no interest in this share. So it’s of course a great medium term buy for an institution- it has all the ingredients - a low PE,recovering from a loss and a drop of 70% in its share price ,new Dutch management, a green growth sector in waste management. Hopefully the Dutch pension funds will bring home the bacon .

robsy2: Edison Update: Management’s unchanged guidance and ongoing focus on debt reduction were the financial headlines for Renewi at the halfway point of FY20. Continued progress in the company’s largest division plus ATM appearing to be closer to resolving soil remediation issues are the two key pre-close messages, in our view. Other divisions are also performing in line with management expectations. Valuation multiples remain low in conventional terms with earnings and dividend growth expected to resume in FY21 on our estimates. The end H120 update reiterated the AGM message regarding ongoing progress in the Commercial division sustained by firmer pricing and synergy benefits. There are likely to be general market effects from trading difficulties at AEB in the Netherlands (most obviously, reduced incinerator capacity and reduced refuse derived fuel or RDF intake) as the supply chain adjusts. Renewi’s contractual positions and other mitigating actions taken lead management to believe that there will be little impact on the company during FY20. Encouragingly, ATM appears to be clearing soil testing hurdles to satisfy the regulator in Holland and a re-opening of the market is expected although no firm date is provided. Additionally, ATM has developed potential markets for separated/graded soil components sufficiently to invest in processing capacity in this area; once certified, these products will aid diversification in end market application and revenue generation for the company. Apart from a new service agreement at Derby, no further detailed comments were made on UK Municipal or Monostreams, which are performing in line with board expectations. This perhaps indicates greater stability in these two divisions following portfolio adjustments and some management changes, respectively. Other corporate activities, ie green financing initiatives and business disposals, are as previously reported save for confirmation that the Canadian Municipal disposal completed and the initial C$82m/c €55m proceeds were received prior to the period end. Valuation: Single-digit multiples, c 5% dividend yield Renewi’s share price is broadly flat year-to-date and yet to regain the year high of 37p seen just prior to the FY19 results announcement in May. On our unchanged estimates, the company’s P/E and EV/EBITDA (adjusted for pensions cash) compress to 5.2x and 3.8x respectively by FY22 with a prospective FY20 dividend yield of 4.6%.
