VSUN Energy may become the second Australian flow-battery maker to release a product for the residential market, according to reports.

Managing director Vincent Algar told RenewEconomy that VSUN is in “very well advanced” talks with potential suppliers for a consumer-scale redox flow battery for the Australian market.

The German electronics, photovoltaics, automation and energy systems manufacturer SCHMID was cited as a likely vendor for vanadium-redox flow batteries with a capacity of 5 kilowatts and 3, 5, 6 and 9 hours of duration.

by the looks of things Australian Vanadium had the heads up that Gildemeister energy storage GmbH was going to the wall and that may explain Scott,s trip to Aus....

Australian Vanadium put out a RNS on the 24th August and Gildemeister energy storage GmbH filed for bankruptcy on the 30th and Scott was in Australia at the end of August....

VSun Enery, Australian Vanadium's enegy storage arm, is exhibiting this week at the All Australia Energy 2017 show. I wonder what with? On 17 Sept they announced that they would now be offering flow machines from 'a wider range of manufacturers', presumably because of the collapse of Gildermeister two weeks earlier. Further evidence surely of 'Gildermeiser out, RedT in'?

I topped up again just now on the back of this assumption.

Price still struggling to get over 12p though - with all this publicity and news, I'm surprised the price isn't higher yet, but maybe that's just me being greedy!!!

Not sure how much of this new normal I can stand: buying pressure forcing the share price up every day, Scott on the telly looking pleased as punch, RNS to announce some major new deal once a week, company being tipped by investment houses with 22p target, national utilities singing RedT's praises. Where is it all going to end?

Investors seeking exponential growth may want to take a look at batteries, according to the European Union’s top energy official.
The European Commission expects demand for batteries in Europe “to look like a hockey stick as of 2020 to 2030 and beyond,” EU energy union chief Maros Sefcovic said Monday at an e-mobility conference in Stuttgart, Germany. “Time has come for a step change in this field.”

Battery technology is the key for the next generation of electric vehicles and renewable energy. Last week the EU pledged to help its industry plug manufacturing gaps in energy storage, where companies like Tesla Inc. and Panasonic Corp. currently hold technological leads. Sefovic has pledged as much as 2.2 billion euros ($2.6 billion) of EU support to ensure Europe keeps pace.

One of the biggest banks is making a big renewable energy commitment
JPMorgan Chase says it will rely solely on renewable energy by 2020.
The firm has property in more than 60 countries that totals approximately 75 million square feet, according to a press release.
JPMorgan also plans to facilitate $200 billion in clean financing through 2025.

I wonder where this would have ended up if this constant 500K trader was not selling into the rise? Perhaps we will get some news on % points broken to get an idea how long this will go on?
