14/12/2016 16:46 | Pierre Oreilly the shares that 12bn invests in ussually do tank below placing price, but then he is not used to quality company,s like REDT..... | dlg3
14/12/2016 16:43 | 12bn, do you have any evidence that price drops to the placing price usually? I certainly haven't seen any reseach saying that. I can't see a reason why it should at all - those acceptng the placing at 8p obviously think it's worth more, and equally obviously they won't sell near 8p because they won't be in profit/ I've been involoved in plenty of placings, and don't recall a fall to the placing price (although I've seen it for companies i've not been invested in). Having said that, i wouldn't be surprised wherever red goes price wise over the next month or so .... I just think it is an excellent entry point atm, and i'm prepared to wait till the placing is over when i expect price rises to reflect the growing value of the company. I can understand keeping away from aim. This is my first foray for years. ftse100 shares are fine for an easy life, but they don't match the excitement or risk of aim, the den of thieves which it is. But given that those who want aim exposure for whatever reason, I can't think of a better bet than the battery storage area. I have respect for Scott, which is a fundamental requirement and unless he's an excellent conman, then he's not a con man (like many on aim). | pierre oreilly
14/12/2016 15:39 | take no notice of posters here including myself, as no one has a clue as to what will happen when the share placing goes ahead....I have seen shares rocket, I have seen them dive....It all depends on a number of things....do not bet what you can not afford to loose, that is the secret... | dlg3
14/12/2016 15:32 | there are lots of oil companies awash with cash, looking for life after oil....not to mention Jabil, Eon, EDF, SSE to name a few that will be wanting a leading thecnology like this... | dlg3
14/12/2016 15:29 | As I say the majority of the shares may never see the market...they may already have a safe home..... | dlg3
14/12/2016 11:51 | Pierre we do not know who has the shares, or will they sell??? nobody knows only the placee,s... most may never see the open market for a while....and once the news starts rolling in 150 million shares will be snaffeled up before you can say 12bn!!! another reasoned post by your good self... | dlg3
14/12/2016 11:05 | Why will 'the placing see to that'? I doubt there'll be much 'overhang'. The thing which knocked the price from 16p to 9p was the placing shares being shorted in advance of issue. i.e. if you know you are getting a million shares at 8p in January, and the price in december is 15p, it's easy money to short a million at 15p and settle the short on issue of the placing shares. Simples. 70 grand risk free easy profit. 12bn, have you got your views backed up in thew market? i.e. are you shorting at this level with a view to closing at 8p, or are you not backing your views with cash? | pierre oreilly
14/12/2016 10:13 | I cannot see the share price moving up a lot for weeks/months regardless of news, the 150m placing will see to that imo. I agree that at under 9p these do look like a good long term bet but I still think that we will see the offer very near 8p in the coming weeks, just imo. | 12bn
14/12/2016 09:52 | Ok so when this is st Marcap of 1billion the share price is £1.6 approx is that right.?So we need, references, orders in particular areas e.g. Phone masts, overnight fork-lift truck charging, Scottish Islands, Sub Saharan sun gathering, and repeat orders in each "thermal" and deliveries and invoices and cash. And these are all plausibly foreseen. And another requirement, just a touch of patience. See you in 2017 or after thunderous news. | alchemy
13/12/2016 22:06 | Evening Decided to take my 6% and re-enter at a later date, it has certainly been a pleasure holding for five days though which can be a long time in an AIM stock. All being well back for the long term in the near future. | gunsofmarscapone
13/12/2016 20:54 | All share buys are speculative, aim companies even more so. I think everyone knows that. No idea why you think too many people are buying (for whatever reason) when the price has more or less halved in the last couple of weeks. Care to point out the hype over the last week or so? Everything has been dominated by the placing imv, which will cause a bit of price instability from here for a month or so until the placing is done and dusted, but that throws up opportunities (like the current price being half of what it recently was). Keep watching and buy when you feel comfortable even if you miss the bottom price - it won't matter long term. | pierre oreilly
13/12/2016 16:39 | Good for you Doerx, dont get stuck there.....wait till the orders start..they will it is just a waiting game.. so when it has risen are you going to pile in then ?, that will be good, you will push the share price even higher !!... | dlg3
13/12/2016 16:19 | This is a speculative buy imo. Too many peeps buying on hype. Hope it comes good but I will sit on the fence for a bit. | doerx2
13/12/2016 15:59 | Pierre Oreilly one of the best pieces you have posted....I never thought I would be saying that.... | dlg3
13/12/2016 14:27 | Hopefully order takers but they are never formally called that of course! Size ...our cabinets are so many mu.Connections we have proven connection 1 2 and 3.Savings and economics in discussion with customer so will need to know gigas / megas , depreciation of competitive products...benefits of our approach, no battery disposals etc.And case studies and knowledge base will grow. | alchemy
13/12/2016 14:05 | There is a lot more to do than just take orders. Remember this is a brand new product that has to be connected to whatever green energy the client is using. Lots of questions will be asked about timing, space needed, installation, possible savings, guarantees, payment methods to name just a few. This product has not been sold before on such a large scale so training will be very important. In fact discussing all the above makes me realise that we should have seen a fundraising coming !!! Maybe you did Pierre !!! | parsons4
13/12/2016 13:52 | I've been buying more today, now bought back all i sold a few weeks ago (mostly at about half price, just by luck, or bad luck depending how it's viewed). Still some more to come from the open offer, which i'll oversubscribe for. We may be in for a bit of turbulence up and down while the offer goes through (hence i'm sitting on some cash which will go in on any further drop, which i don't expect), but it'll all be done and dusted in a months time and i think we'll takeoff from there. Next driver is the 100m mc at which point i think it becomes available for more funds to buy, imv). The funds are partly to double the number of staff, mainly salespeople. Not sure i fully understand that - i'd say they need order-takers not salesmen. The machines (as i think they want us to call them) will sell themselves, it's very easy for any company to see if they are profit making for them, there's no fashion or fizz element to sell at all imv. | pierre oreilly
13/12/2016 13:36 | Any open offer shares not taken up (e.g. by the directors who aren't taking any in the open) will be used to satisfy excess applications from those qualifying for the open offer (i.e. you and me, not the mm's mates, unless they qualify too). | pierre oreilly
13/12/2016 07:37 | Pierre Oreilly spot on !! There was big volume yesterday, lots of new investors (from IC tip) and shares still coming out from places. MMs would normally try to keep the price near the placing price to discourage shareholders from taking up the open offer so their mates can apply for excess shares !! They seem to be losing the battle because current shareholders, particularly those late to the party, are averaging down through purchases at between 8 and 9 and long standing holders like myself will now try and take up the maximum. I think the price is likely to move ahead when the open offer is done, rather than sit at the current price which is after all too cheap !! all IMHO of course. New order news will of course help the process !! | parsons4 |
