Only £155k raised from shareholders out of possible £7m (from memory) open offer which is pretty rubbish but not surprising with the share price generally below 1p, so why would anyone pay 1.65p? Fortunately company wasn’t relying on these funds although they would have been useful.

Let’s hope everything else goes through smoothly at EGM today.

Oh how I hope all this optimism is born out in the coming two years, I have been with Red t since the heady days of 17p, yes 17p, and I have made a profit on several occasion buying and selling, but I had given up ever getting my money back, and of course maybe won’t, but at least it looks more hopeful, I suspect a few more bumps in the road, but brighter prospects now SEEM to be on the horizon.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but aren't infrastructure investments commonplace when the economy is down? If true, energy storage may be a good investment.

Looks like retail investors punting this based on the total value of trades.

I'd imagine under current global COVID restrictions this'll need bailing out again at some point.

awise - suggest you read up on tomorrow's EGM as a starter. Will be transformational IMO assuming it all goes through.

Hi there. Catching up with events here. I used to follow this in the heady 10p days. Is this investable now? Starting to go through older rns's any help appreciated!

RNS Number4995T. RedT Energy PLC. 15 November 2019Larry Zulch, Chief Executive Officer of Avalon commented:"It is difficult to imagine a more complementary combination than Avalon and redT, starting with the strengths of our respective teams. Together, we aim to form the preeminent force in vanadium redox flow batteries. I'm excited to work closely with the redT team to build an organisation that will dramatically benefit our combined customer base, both current and future, contribute positively to the global energy transition, and generate long-term value for shareholders.Storage technology is the core enabler of decentralised energyMar 27, 2020:HTtps://www.esi-africa.com/industry-sectors/smart-technologies/storage-technology-is-the-core-enabler-of-decentralised-energy/To reach a sustainable, just for all energy transition it is paramount to enable higher levels of penetration of renewable generation worldwide. To effectively manage larger scale of variable renewable energy, power system flexibility is the name of the game and indeed storage is and will be one of the core enablers in decarbonised energy system. In this context, the fast growth of storage industry is not surprising. According to the newly releasedEnergy Storage Monitor, the US energy storage installation topped 522.7MW/1,113MWh in 2019 as a whole and 186.4MW/364.2MWh in the fourth quarter.Again, looking at the US experience and, in particular, in the framework of Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) - an increasingly common arrangement in markets like the US - variability translates into additional revenue risks borne by both developers and off-takers.To enable continued rapid deployment of renewables, effective mitigation of these risks is necessary.Enel Foundation's work in depthEnel Foundation and Form Energy - a US based start-up which is developing ultra-low cost, long-duration energy storage – crafted in cooperation with Enel Green Power a white paper exploring the way long duration storage technologies can mitigate the impact of variability with a higher share of wind power generation.Carlo Papa, Director of Enel Foundation commented, "The needed transition to a sustainable energy system will necessarily rely on the massive contribution of wind and solar energy. With this paper, we wish to give a contribution to exploring the role of long duration energy storage, a class of enabling technologies currently in the R&D maturity stage, to support the energy transition."Results of the study demonstrate the ability of storage to effectively mitigate risks connected to variability, such as basis and shape risks.Simulations developed by the research team show, for example, that a long duration storage technology with costs and efficiency similar to pumped hydro energy storage can boost the returns of wind farm by up to 50% with respect to the case without storage, while reducing the downside risk by up to 10% under today's market conditions, with a larger impact on risk and return expected with deeper renewable penetration.Enel Foundation is a Knowledge Partner at the African Utility Week and POWERGEN Africa conference. Click here to register to attend or for more information about the event.Mateo Jaramillo, CEO and co-founder of Form Energy – recently recognised as one of 2020's top climate leaders by Grist! - observed that "this study shows the clear value of longer duration storage technology across a wide range of applications."As even more renewable power gets deployed, we will need new ways to deal with oversupply and transmission constraints and manage merchant risk for existing assets. Enel understands these challenges and clearly is a leader in articulating the need and identifying new technologies to meet the challenge."This work has been carried out considering assets located in the US deregulated markets, and thanks to the methodology and scientific approach employed it can be extended to other locations and markets. As the underlying conditions and risk factors are common across locations and market settings, the results of this study have a clear implication for a wide range of geographies.

Regarding the SP, possibly MM's playing tricks? Any chatter, buys or sells are just 'speculating' in my opinion.

Why is the share price bouncing all over the place? No orders have been announced to my knowledge. Full year results for 2019 are expected mid June (based on last year). This looks like a slow burner still, but only updates from the company (RED for now) will say what's cooking. Everything else is purely speculative.

2mex thank you; that's very useful information you have posted and I think it begins to demonstrate how significant the value is that Avalon brings to the party. The market penetration achieved by Avalon, with its standardised VRFB's, augers well for Invinity's growth potential when these VRFB's are made available to RedT's "pipeline". The key to this thrust forward is the completion of the merger, and the launch of Invinity Energy Systems, later this week.

paulcon, yes me too, quite surprising after the strong share price climb following the initial fall. I will probably be tempted to pick up a few more tomorrow at these levels. Hopefully this will fly once the placing gets voted through (fingers crossed that it does).
