Let's hope the CMA do their job and reject this bid

Last thing we want is even more of a housebuilder oligopoly stifling housebuilding

Can’t see myself buying new build what with a Management Company being a part of the TP1 doc. Personally I value the houses at zero until such companies are removed from the TP1

Me thinks the bag is out of the cat here. Uncapped unregulated estate management fees in the freehold ?

Surprised there wasn't a better reaction to the Persimmon update?

Hmmm….I think they want to discuss the size of the incentive in person. All sounds a bit like gangster style to me.

Incentives are part of the business model (except in the silly boom times); it's not the existence of incentives which is of interest but the size of them

Incentives being offered to sell the houses here, apparently.

That must mean everything this fine ?

6 didn't. Interest rates didn't go up. RDW share price has gone up and will continue to do so. Focus on price not opinion.

Why do you expect rates to go up again when the fed just signalled 4 decreases in 2024?

Confidence and affordability. Not sure how that will improve if interest rates go up again ?

Had a good run, hasn’t it. And I think it will take a while for confidence in the housing market to pick up. That said, the economy hasn’t imploded and it feels as though we might start to think more positively

forward PEs are always guesswork.....
But some sites, I have heard give forward PEs

Do you know any?

Most places calculate PE against current profits...

However last quarter they made £197m pretax income.
In the previous matching quarter they made £43m so its
possible the forward PE is even lower than the current.

Not sure what figures are in the current PE... But either way
the PE is very low

What's the forward PE?

Relative to the other house builders this one is still relatively overlooked - possibly because its FTSE250 and not FTSE100...

Barrett PE 9.89

Redrow PE 5.82

That is quite a difference....
