28/1/2021 09:47 | You would think Miton might reappraise things given future prospects here. Let's see where we are in a few weeks and come results which I suspect will see a further rise. | its the oxman
28/1/2021 09:42 | Very happy with the update and couldn't really wish for more. If Miton wish to continue to sell so be it - it can't be controlled and makes an opportunity for others. Well done to Ian and his team | scubadiverr
28/1/2021 09:38 | Not if Miton are still selling. There has been a change of fund manager for one of their funds which might explain why they appear to be liquidating some stocks. I sold 1/3rd of my holding this am into the rise. Editda - how about PBT or better still a number for us to work of. See outdated expectations were for an eps of 5 so a PE of 14 which is high for this type of business, though it has been during a very difficult time. If anyone has some updated forecasts it would be appreciated. | elsa7878
28/1/2021 08:41 | Should see this trend back towards a quid IMO, should be helped by 50% of the commissions earned by Convex team buying shares IMO, anyone noticed that? If shares are v. tightly held, that could help provide a nice squeeeze as well DYOR | qs99
28/1/2021 08:29 | Tried to buy first thing at 70p. Couldn't! | tradertrev
28/1/2021 08:27 | Divi is the icing, looks like trading could continue with M&A picking up etc.....from what I hear, lots of p/e cash sloshing around needing to be deployed....DYOR | qs99
28/1/2021 08:25 | Well done folks. Another situation where an overhang (Premier Miton) has resulted in a great opportunity for investors to capitalise. There have been 30%+ valuation anomalies all over the place (different now of course! Far fewer about). Perfect markets my beehind! :-) | sphere25
28/1/2021 08:23 | Surely 90p is possible here now, we will see. | its the oxman
28/1/2021 08:07 | Great update , 3p div a nice bonus , should climb much higher now , maybe not all today though given wider market pressure. | its the oxman
28/1/2021 00:02 | Back in November they announced Following the publication of the Group's interim results for six months to 30 June 2020 on 16 September 2020, the Group's law firm, Rosenblatt Limited ("RBL") has continued to trade well with case value and volumes remaining significantly ahead year-on-year.The laggards were at the time LionFish and Convex but both had improved to the extent that the Co. could reinstate guidance. And above previous years guidance. Up to £26m revs You would have to hope that tomorrow's results will impress. Hoping for 70p + tomoz GLA | lastoneout
27/1/2021 22:04 | They do mainly focus on contentious law but if you check thier website you'll see they also do Corporate (M&A, PE, IPOs, JV, tax and general advisory). Also Insolvency, financial restructuring, employment and financial crime - which when Rishi's measures come to an end should be in demand. Anyway enough of the sell, it should be the trading statement tomorrow. Hopefully it will be in line with previous guidance. I have a high weighting here and can't afford it not be be after MANO yesterday and Burford of late. Fingers crossed for all holders | scubadiverr
27/1/2021 21:24 | Thanks tt, I think that should be good news for Convex Capital - transactions are their line of business. But I think Rosenblatt focus on contentious areas - where the fees are higher. So I'm wondering if Covid-19 has led to a lot of broken contracts or is their something else driving it? | maddox
27/1/2021 06:40 | I adjusted my portfolio earlier in the year and added RBG, FRP and BEG - I had a look at MANO, but it looked massively overpriced to me so left it alone. MANO is now about where I would say it is worth a look. Still, might wait a bit longer. Let's see how many of those jittery investors that bought in high decide to cut their losses. | indigocarmine
27/1/2021 06:36 | No. Diversification is yesterday's outdated business model. | quepassa
26/1/2021 20:42 | Having seen Mano's RNS today I'm pleased that Lionfish aren't solely reliant on insolvency case funding and acquisition, that they also finance other areas of law to balance risk. Very pleased also that RGBP has a number of complementary diversified income streams through thier portfolio of synergistic businesses. Wouldn't you now agree Quepassa? That point made I couldn't resist a top up at 193p! | scubadiverr
26/1/2021 08:40 | Not a lawyer, but this might help to explain... | tradertrev
25/1/2021 14:10 | Are there any lawyers on here that can shed light on what is driving demand in the legal services market at the moment? RBGP Oct trading update was positive 'the Group's law firm, Rosenblatt Limited ("RBL") has continued to trade well with case value and volumes remaining significantly ahead year-on-year.' And KEYS recent TU 'strong trading' and 'materially ahead'. So looks promising for Thursday's update but would be good to know whether this is Covid-19 related or otherwise? Regards Maddox | maddox
24/1/2021 18:29 | Looking for a good week here on the run up to Thursday. Missed the chance to trade at below 60 but have enough already to keep me watching. No reason to expect bad news IMO. Good luck | mashman
21/1/2021 16:05 | Yes it shows, difficult to add here | wanttowin
21/1/2021 16:04 | Naked Trader has been buying... | johndoe23
21/1/2021 16:01 | great end of day spike | qs99
21/1/2021 15:51 | 70p about to go? | qs99
21/1/2021 09:30 | Quite a bit of chart resistance 70-80p. May need a positive update to break clear / above this. Meantime things look to bode well. | its the oxman
21/1/2021 08:24 | Trading update from Keystone Law this morning - Further to our Trading Update issued on 30 November 2020, the Board is pleased to report that trading throughout December and early January has been exceptionally strong. Unlike previous years, where the Christmas season normally experiences a slowdown in activity, performance levels continued to be high throughout and as a result, the Board now expects to report adjusted profit before tax for the period which will be materially ahead of current market expectations(1). James Knight, Chief Executive Officer of Keystone, said: "I am delighted that we are ending the year on such a positive note. In what has been a very difficult year for many the core attributes of the Keystone model have really come to the fore. The investment we have made over many years, in both the technology and the culture, has ensured that our lawyers have been fully operational all year and have continued to deliver high quality legal services to our clients. Having said that, the strength of trading over the past two months has somewhat taken us by surprise." | flagon
19/1/2021 12:26 | True , but bought c.60p thinking very oversold with 70-90p range easily achievable provided no profit warning. Looks increasingly like that's the case and given begbies price is spiking now, the convex deal looks to be making everyone involved a winner so that has to bode very well for that part of the business and reputation. If that's a ramp I guess it is. Let's see what the trading update brings. Outlook will be key. | its the oxman |
