Knigel. I expect courtcase to be concluded by the time they need cash to develop. They may even do a royalties with the company they have just done the NDA with and might not need any cash.

As for the courtcase, it’s clear that damages are due as they have an agreed amount that has gone up by 1m euros to nearly 9 million now. If there was no case to be answered there would be no amount agreed, imho I think it’s just a formality of the case then a payout.

At least the troll - who has disappeared after posting 100 times per day - can cleared see dates for the second patient filing etc. Btw how many times do we have to repeat: the company said they had funding until the end of 2022 and if they needed a placing - it ain’t going to be a problem!

Cracking RNS, So, us using the same chip (5nm), means we don't have to faff about, we if all successful with the algo will be able to boost the current Architecture and get the boost deployed. Using 7nm the slower chip, would be lots of wasted work, to do it all again on the 5nm. 5nm looks to speed things up drastically with a greener approach... slap a boost on that, even faster...

The Company will, therefore, move directly to developing a 5nm ASIC prototype, although it will still consider a phase of testing, as an intermediate step, on the 12nm ASIC, as announced on 5 November 2021.

A Non-Disclosure Agreement (“NDA”) has been signed with an international research & development organisation, which is active in the field of nanoelectronics, and which will give the Company access to one of the few 5nm semiconductor fabrication plants currently operational in the world.

The Company recognises that this significant step change, from 7nm to 5nm will, with regards to industrial production be significantly more expensive than its original strategy. However, as a first step, the initial phase of prototype testing of a 5nm ASIC will not cost the Company much more than the same process for a 7nm ASIC.

Assuming that the second patent application is filed by the Company’s cryptography expert by the end of February 2022, a first 5nm prototype, which would include all the improvements of both QBT’s first (ASIC UltraBoost) and second patent application, could be ready for manufacture in Q3 2022.
