Hexam is right in that the board is dead when the decent posters don't bother posting. They don't understand a busy board is to QBTs advantage as it alerts more people to its presence.Posters should let the ramping idiots alone and let them squabble among themselves

Bit of an ingrate as well. Could have thanked others for getting the price down so they could get in lower and average down.

Excellent from Hexam over on LSE

You should be grateful Brew is posting as this board was pretty dead over the days recently that he and other doubters weren’t posting. Hardly any of you has anything to say about Qbt so it seems you just wait for sceptical posters to contribute so you can attack them with childish drivel or if they aren’t posting just bait them in the hope that they do.

That’s social media for you I guess. No content just juvenile bile.

Hat tip to BrewHaHa for their remarkable tolerance in the face of the torrent of bile.

Wrong use of the word spurious

Thanks ADIG. I did think that nonce ranges would be distributed across a pool or farm but someone suggested that they assign their own random range. I guess ChatGPT confirms that which is a big hmmmmmm because half of the, my, problem was solved for QBT already. Just enter your preferred pool details and log in. That would still leave the coms with the ASICS but that's not a deal breaker as others have shown.

Oh dear. I am not very tech savvy. I had not appreciated that QBT has a problem with nonces as well as all its other problems. All very unsavoury.

I do hope that Sharetalk is keeping an eye out for the safety of poor little pedalcar.

CGMiner vanilla already receives and passes on nonce ranges to the ASIC. So instead of the pool distributing the nonce's these will be retrieved from 'QBT server'. In which case, why is porting required??YouIn bitcoin pool mining does the pool provide the nonce range to the mining rigChatGPTIn most cases, yes, the mining pool provides the nonce range to the mining rig. This allows the pool to distribute the work effectively among multiple miners, increasing the chances of finding a valid block hash.?YouIs this done via CGMinerChatGPTYes, CGMiner is a popular mining software that often communicates with mining pools to receive work assignments, including nonce ranges, which it then uses to search for valid block hashes

Surely it's better to wait for QBT to complete testing and refinement under scrutiny of the interested bitcoin miners, rather than continually knocking them on spurious grounds. They have said they expect a commercial product and revenues in 2024, so let them get on with it.

Basically what you have here is a small bunch of underfunded part timers hoping to make a major breakthrough in a very expensive, fast moving field.

That sort of thing makes for a heart warming story, but in highly sophisticated fields the breakthrough is seldom made, and never carried to practical fruition, on someone's kitchen table. Frank Whittle is often hailed as someone who did, with the jet engine, but the truth is rather different even in that instance. He did have government support and backing for his research, but big industrial backing was necessary to turn theory into a workable engine. Infighting and dirty work amongst the potential industrial backers (all keen to get in on the ground floor of a potential new industry) caused unnecessary delay, but that is another story.

I'm still confused as to what Method B actually is. If they are live test mining using a custom version of CGMiner then why the need to 'port'?Interesting that the question was asked on the LSE board and nobody wanted to hazard a guess as to what Method B actually was.

Like I said months ago here, equally Man Utd "expect" to win this year's Premier League.

Pedalcar, will you still be re-posting that RNS statement of 'expectation' in 2025 and beyond?

Presumably, when they hired him so mny months ago, QBT also 'expected' to have something for Vlad to sell.

What matters is not what QBT 'expected' in 2023, but how those expectations hve subsequently shaped up. So far, disappointment all down the line.
