03/2/2016 15:36 | AE LNG infrastructure now being built on a massive scale - see Singapore bunker hub etc. Retrofit LNG is far cheaper than scrubbers, and at the moment cheaper than HFO. Bit of a no brainer really. | sallad3
03/2/2016 14:15 | The industry will be rushing to invest billions in LNG infrastructure and receive rock bottom prices for their investment I don't think. Two container ships doing local runs is the total world count for container ships powered by LNG...... what a threat to oil based fuels. LOL | argyll eagle
03/2/2016 09:45 | Perhaps the challenge lies in making the product exist in the market? LNG is obviously in the market already. Obviously a pipeline of fabrications will be required to roll out to the rest of the world. imo anyway Bought part of BP @ 328.9...........perh | kreature
03/2/2016 09:21 | Re my as yet unanswered question: LNG data at www.prometheusenergy LNG now 30% cheaper than Diesel www.news.nationalgeo MSAR calorific values 30mj/kg (per QFI) against diesel 48mj/kg See also www.afdc.energy.gov/ If LNG prices really have become uncoupled from Crude pricing, then looks as though its back to the power station use for MSAR as it was for Orimulsion. DYOR as ever. | sallad3
03/2/2016 08:39 | Interesting post on LSE ex the Secret Squirrels re Patent application. No mention of Surrey. | sallad3
02/2/2016 20:24 | Question: Is LNG now cheaper than MSAR2 for shipping use? Stick a couple of containers on a Triple E and away you go....sans scrubbers Also forget price rebounds as Qatar has halved its long term price to India. | sallad3
02/2/2016 20:10 | Still spinning away kreature ...haha. ..you do make me laugh. .. | sb
02/2/2016 19:03 | Not sure that we should read too much into the founding company winding down, and the technical director quitting, and the chairman quitting, and the Canadian assets written down to zero. Surely we await the next RNS? | kreature
02/2/2016 18:31 | Maersk and everyone else by now has got used to reduced Oil/Gas prices, of whatever kind. Sooner or later the price of all products will increase and for them who have sat back and banked/spent the windfall life will become much harder. - Cost cutting will be top of the agenda, for shipping and all other energy using industries. - Those who are prepared and have a drop in cheaper fuel alternative will be in the pound seats!.........and so also will be the investors in QFI!......I hope! | deutsch3
02/2/2016 18:17 | From an investors point of view, there is never a good time for the chairman to step down, but from Ian's pov he's at the retirement age and has a family he wants to enjoy. he was already senior management when Quadrise bought the orimulsion IP from BP 10 years ago. Theres nothing suspicious about this at all. I wish him well, he's done a good job, getting us engaged in projects with Maersk and Aramco. The question remains whether the new chairman will steer the company and strategise growth in the same way as Ian would, but only time will tell. For now Im sure the strategy will continue unchanged; get Maersk and Saudi to commercial production, while expanding growth with smaller contracts. | bogg1e
02/2/2016 13:09 | Age is no grounds for leaving the company unless you want to (or not being able to any longer, health wise). There are plenty of companies who are run from 70 yrs+ people. | tongosti
02/2/2016 11:32 | You lot make me laugh. " In general terms anyone can be a company director, provided they are not disqualified on one of the following grounds: .........in the case of "plc's" or their subsidiaries, the person is over 70 years of age or reaches 70 years of age while in office, unless they are appointed or re-appointed by resolution of the company in general meeting of which special notice has been given." IW is not the only one going to be 70 this year (his 70th is in August). Duckels is 70 in October and Mutch in July next year. Must be a coincidence that IW is off on the last day the interim results have to be announced. | sallad3
02/2/2016 11:09 | With the chairman retiring there is no obligation to report selling his shares any longer. Chairman retiring whilst his disciples here believe QFI are on the cusp of taking over the world?!Does anyone also remember Simon Craig also deserting ship?Actions speak louder than words - 2p is most likely coming sooner than I thought. | tongosti

02/2/2016 09:41 | Bon voyage and thank you Mr. Williams and good luck in the "commercial development phase" Mr. Kirk. | barony
02/2/2016 09:11 | Poor Yodhaha. His mental health seems to be deteriorating further. Obviously spending too much time on his own. Perhaps he should get out of trading and get into astrology, or crystal ball gazing. LOL I predict that we'll get a trading results or update RNS within the next two months. LOL | argyll eagle
02/2/2016 08:46 | And another RNS is due now very shortly. I have closed remaining 30 percent position too. If it reaches 15-16p I will start a short position again. Please dyor | tradeyodha
02/2/2016 08:12 | As I said there was a medium possibility of an RNS | tradeyodha
02/2/2016 00:54 | as indicated at 3i | kreature
01/2/2016 18:29 | Wonder if its the same (or even another) ex IEG holder selling down? The price action in these low volume markets does seem to be favouring TY's short-side predictions. Add in LNG price collapse and the massive increase in LNG volumes around the world, might make some container fleets consider conversion sooner than expected. | sallad3 |
