07/1/2016 21:18 | looking forward to this..... 4th Oct 2012 ‘The scope is expected to encompass the first major refinery project, followed by a larger scale programme to process the bulk of the available heavy residue within KSA to MSAR®.’ | kreature
07/1/2016 20:13 | haydock Isn't the mentioned Crown Prince the one that lies at the root of the recent events being described as primarily for domestic consumption? TY nice entry point ... well done. Bounce off 11-12 range? Probably too tight for me to trade as a long only person. | sallad3
07/1/2016 16:53 | With thanks to Nick Grealy Reimagine gas & nicked by him from others. Reflected in the article is the heavy production of oil. Change on the agenda !! | haydock
07/1/2016 10:27 | Yes, I am watching the progress here | kreature
06/1/2016 23:50 | LOL Kreature - Adrian wotshisname? - Yoool be watching paint dry next mate! | pcjoe
06/1/2016 20:56 | Interesting article posted elsewhere by PrepH Big news is that review re emission timetables appears to have been pulled forward from 2018 to this year, if im reading this right? - Makes sense as industry in limbo at moment with no one knowing whether to scrub or not etc QFI have stated in print ( I forget where ) that they reckon emission limits will not be changed until 2025 (rather than 2020) - More importantly this article suggests that OPEC agrees - Therefore a stay of execution for standard HFO (IFO 380) & therefore a decent timescale for mSAR to take hold & scrubber tech/Low sulphur residual fuel engineering to improve More good news from the article "A situation such as the one that occurred in 2008, when diesel-IFO differentials spiked as high as $90/b ($600/tonne) could recur and remain until the market is able to respond, which could take some time." The higher the relative value of distillates to water/AKZO emusifier chems, the better the MSAR business case becomes OPEC perhaps not the force it was but still the major mover & shaker by a mile - From what they are saying here its looking good...... Just got to stop the Iranians & Saudis scuppering world trade now! - Not convinced that either have the stomach for mutual economic suicide though | pcjoe
06/1/2016 16:47 | nail biting stuff......... RNS Oct 2014 'Extend the availability of Marine MSAR® and selective fleet fuelling progressively to the Rest of the World (ROW) on success from 2016.' | kreature
05/1/2016 18:45 | wrong thread sorry. | tim 3
05/1/2016 18:26 | Should be indeed but the company has a very enviable track record in delaying things. Play it safe and consider the end of 2016 maybe as a bit more realistic?Plenty of time to go long and short until then. | tongosti
05/1/2016 11:44 | Should be Q116. | hotfinance14
05/1/2016 10:10 | I expect the news to be confirmation of the ,Maersk LONO starting. | hotfinance14
05/1/2016 09:01 | Just my opinion based on the amount of distillate apparently within residual fuel oil IFO 380. | kreature
05/1/2016 08:26 | "most readers think that 40% distillates have to be added to residue to make it flow, when it reality it's probably more like 2%" Do you have evidence for that? Why would Quadrise say 40% if the real figure is 2%? | david77
05/1/2016 02:41 | it's 'industrial water' or 'process water' - but not sure that the cost of the water matters so much as the value of the residue when sold for other products like bitumen . of course most readers think that 40% distillates have to be added to residue to make it flow, when it reality it's probably more like 2% - but i suppose all that matters is what the majority believe - IMO only etc | kreature
04/1/2016 14:56 | Not sure why Saudi would be making marine MSAR Kreature at this time? Re the water - a very quick google re large quant potable KSA water costs - about $2 per m3 which equates to $2 per Tonne as you hopefully know 30% water in 1 Tonne Msar you say? Therefore water costs approx $0.60 per T MSAR - No big deal - though presumably they will be using cheaper water than the potable variety You`ve banged on about water costs before kreature - a little less laziness on the googling front might ease your concerns a bit | pcjoe
04/1/2016 09:10 | shorts away 14.7. There're not going to put 30% random dirty water in marine fuel lol. It's funny that you think that though : ) IMO anyway - ATB | kreature
03/1/2016 23:12 | Fair point Salad - but this warmongering & foreign adventuring by the Saudis is not coming cheap on top of oil price related problems - they're gonna need every source of savings they can make - a decent chunk of their modern steam turbine electricity production can not work with crude - they need hfo - that market first for qfi - any inroads on the crude side can wait Only threat to qfi would be if the Saudi royals fall out with their religious partners - the latest executions were designed to placate same & also warn the general population re dissent - don't think the Saudis will provoke outright war with the Iranians - nothing in it for either side there imho | pcjoe
03/1/2016 20:58 | piston Might make TY's short very prescient. | sallad3
03/1/2016 18:20 | Saudi not going to be too popular with alot of folk for a while. | pistonbroke1
02/1/2016 22:02 | "Wonder how thats going?" ----- with difficulty if a) ksa 'terms of business' have still not been agreed and b) if the 2015 'option' on the second MMU was not taken up | kreature
02/1/2016 21:52 | From the SEP 2015 update re KSA trial "The timetable remains broadly as advised in the QFI 2015 Interim report with production capacity targeted to be installed in late 2015, to ensure fuel availability for an extended combustion demonstration during H1 2016." Wonder how thats going? - Would be nice to see the potential clients showing some urgency at long last on this one - Sure QFI think so too.. We`ll soon find out no doubt EDIT Any of the Forum ( Special Ops dept) manage to get that tracking device on the new MMU? | pcjoe |
