24/5/2007 15:33 | At last' we're creeping back to the £2 mark. : ) | aussiedonnie
24/5/2007 11:18 | Not boring at all. For example: I wouldn't mind one of these in a few years instead of limitations of current tv. | mw
24/5/2007 09:16 | There _is_ no special relationship between the UK and the US. The special relationship is between the US and Israel, and has been since 1948... | jerryfalwell
24/5/2007 09:11 | Many British companies eg Midland Bank(now part of HSBC) have been stuffed in America. I think it high risk to try to get into any country's defence industry. Surely political considerations may affect decisions on orders. The so called 'special relationship' may change in the future. Many would argue that Britain has gained nothing from this relationship which has cost us billions in supporting the war in Iraq. A high risk/high reward share? z | zeppo
24/5/2007 08:51 | "Investing in the US is highly risky though" why so? you mean just at the moment or generally? | jerryfalwell
23/5/2007 20:10 | Hmm. The share itself is pretty boring but the company is not boring at all! I think we will certainly see some action after results if not before. The potential of the company seems to e un-noticed by the institutions........ Andy | andysand
23/5/2007 17:13 | Every letter should have one. When our postie has a day off, or a holiday mail, seems to be scattered all over the district. I had to ring our local sorting office again yesterday after getting two A4 sized letters for a completely different road. z | zeppo
23/5/2007 17:10 | JerryFalwell Hope it does well for you. Thay are also into 'nano-materials' and other things which may have huge potential. Investing in the US is highly risky though and Carlyle Group seem to have banked huge profits before withdrawing. Perhaps others could shed more light on that. Full Year Results next Thursday. z | zeppo
23/5/2007 16:57 | bought into Qinetiq today - not much, just £1k to begin with in my ISA (hopefully more to follow as funds become available). not very comfortable buying into an arms company, but bought primarily because of the Omni-ID RFID chip - potential market could be very huge indeed! | jerryfalwell
23/5/2007 14:31 | I should fit my children with them. | wad collector
23/5/2007 12:15 | Every parcel should have one.... "QinetiQ launches high sensitivity GPS surveillance and tracking device" | mw
19/5/2007 19:23 | I am looking for the divi to be twice the Interims plus prospects of divi growth. z | zeppo
19/5/2007 19:01 | I'd wait and see what the firm reports in its first full-year results later this month before deciding to sell, but then I only bought in a few days ago. | conan the trader
18/5/2007 09:33 | lets hope so... i'll be selling if we hit placing price, waited over a year for nothing. | blik
18/5/2007 09:32 | Are we finally seeing an upward trend again? | wad collector
15/5/2007 07:03 | Lots of buys at end of day yesterday. Makes me wonder. | davy99
14/5/2007 19:58 | Why? Mind you , contract announcements don't seem to move the share price much ;-( | wad collector
14/5/2007 13:53 | Are we expecting a large contract in the next 14 days? | davy99
10/5/2007 22:50 | Thanks for that Bob. Regards. | humbagash
10/5/2007 12:13 | Might help if they spent a few pounds on releasing new contracts won on RNS's. | davy99
09/5/2007 18:56 | Some are buying in... | bobcarolgees
09/5/2007 14:26 | I suppose part of the problem is that the profit aspect of these contracts remains invisible , and has yet to appear on any balance sheet. | wad collector
08/5/2007 16:21 | More news.... "QinetiQ has competed and won a 16-month contract, valued at over £3.5m, for the Ministry of Defence's PECOC (Personal Equipment and Common Operational Clothing) Assessment Phase. QinetiQ and a team from the MOD will look to gain a better understanding of possible future requirements, looking at the complete range of fit-for-purpose clothing, load carriage and protective equipment, including helmets and body armour, across the armed services........" extract from qq website. It never fails to surprise me that, despite the unending flow of positive news, the share still enjoys a less than inspiring price history. | mw
