gbjbaanb there is still a balance sheet.

I do not attach value to the business. As long as it is not a liability. I hope they will just do a final distribution after selling the business to the management or just sell the shell after getting rid of the business.

Next scheduled news mid September for half year results.

zcaprd7, have you stayed pat, sold or topped up since the distribution?

Well, I was quite picky, only one speculative exploration "miner" the rest are all digging it out of the ground and selling it.Some geopolitical risk given the locations of the mines, so I spread it around a few different companies...

zcaprd7, your call on gold is playing out well and with the economy heading for a technical recession holding cash is a good call as well.

I cannot contemplate gold but I like cash.

gbjbaanb, yes the £54 million was actually 54 million euros. Ok start with 54 million euros at say 1.11 to £ giving circa £48 million less the £38.5 million distribution leaves circa £9.5 million. The management, although slow have been true to their word.

The management speak of another return of capital. If they do the sensible thing there is a bit of upside here.

As a starter i would point out that cash is in Euros and market cap. is in sterling.

So the question now is how much is left over?

IIRC they gave back £38m, from cash reserves of £54m, leaving £16m in the bank. The current market cap is £4.8m (7.2m shares * 66p)

That seems an awfully large difference, am I missing something. Obviously the share price will not re-rate until the board comes up with a solid plan, either selling it all off, or declaring the business is a going concern with customers for its mineral sawing operations.

Received the 'dosh' today and bought some more. Probably a mistake however time will tell. At least the management did not run off with all the money.

Nothing received in my Barclays 'Smart Investor' ISA yet.

If I was 'Smart' I wouldn't be with Barclays - they are a complete shambles!

Only a few days left until they distribute. Well that is unless the directors have absconded with the 'dosh'!

Anyone going to buy back in?

Yes konrad, my estimate is that book value, post capital return and cash burn from Dec 31 til a possible wind-up, is only very slightly above current market cap. But it's only my estimate...very similar to flyfisher's. Things may be a bit better than my estimate or the German ops may flourish and become worth something. But that's too speculative for a tight fisted old dog like me. I'm happy with my exit. Good luck!

EezyMunny, good luck going forward.

I personally would look at the situation in 'new money'.

I suppose it is just what they do with the cash.

Yes, very close to my target number. I'm out, never to return, unless there's some evidence of German ops making some money.

This is all true, but too small and niche for a listed company... It will probably be offloaded via an MBO (hopefully not for £1) and any remainer money returned.Plan b is to use the money to buy other similar operations to bulk up...

zcaprd7, I think you might have been buying some more today.

I am pondering it.
