It seems to me on the whole, many miners who first have a TSX listing then list on AIM are only doing so in order to raise extra finance via a 'Placing' on AIM as unable to get the funds they need purely from a TSX listing.

Nothing at all a surprise in the announcement this morning. This one was always cash negative at the mining level, never mind other overheads and the enormous long term debt with little plan as to how to repay. I doubt the shares are worth anything. Anything useful will be used to offset the LTD with lenders.

It's true they need to get costs down by at least 25 per cent then the story of increased production gets interesting specially if price of gold increases ???

Record production and still only standstill on cash position. Work out how many ozs they need at $10 M costs per month and necessary pog. Then look forward to when they need to start paying back short and long term debt. They need to be growing the cash pile from ops considerably to meet future liabilities and deadlines.

The cash flow generated still appears to be less than monthly expenditure.
They also have huge debts to service.

If the gold price suddenly surged that could change the dynamics.

If you like Gold I suggest you look at Thor exploration THX. It's Nigerian but lots of upside. already producing as well.

The main positives I got:

Recovery rates in August rose to 96.2% from 93.7% in July, while average head grades rose to 5.9 grams of gold a metric ton, from 3.1 grams a ton.

The company noted that it currently has $6 million in cash, with its cash balance unchanged from the previous disclosure on August 15 and has been stable since late July.

The improvement in results is encouraging ,however given the level of debt is it enough.

At least the company isn't too expensive, has 1/12th the market cap of the over priced expensive Greatland Gold.

Could be a recovery play at these rock bottom prices if they can reduce costs and increase production
