A thousand posts in 3 months last year , back to the usual quiet BB. Slow recovery or slow death?

96% uptake of the rights issue , no date given for the payment for lapsed rights. I never got round to selling mine , not sure what the closing payment will be after the costs are extracted by the bankers.

If you read the RNS from Tuesday you will see that the transaction took place on 28 February, that’s how.

Finally - at least one director is buying - directors have been conspicuous by their absence up till now

nas9, I'm sorry to say most of them appear to be clueless. I dare say some of the back office people know what they're doing, just not those on the helplines.

Typo56 Thank you for clarifying spoke to TD onvesting today they’re completely clueless since they’re now iii and have stayed charging £22.50 a quarter for managing accounts you’d think they’d be clued on but obviously not.

Really appreciate your reply and taking time out to respond.

nas9, it's not a share buyback. It's a rights issue.

You still have your original 2750 PFG shares. Plus, from today, you also have 1947 rights shares (based on 17 rights per 24 PFG you held).

These rights are tradeable in the market (ticker PFGN), meaning you can sell them.

Or if you want, you can exercise the rights, for payment of 315p per right. You will then receive fully paid PFG shares, in addition to your original 2750 shares.

Or you can do nothing and let the rights lapse. You'll then receive payment, which will amount to approximately the value of PFG shares, less 315p, per right.

Your broker may permit you to do a mix of all three. You should hear from them.

Can someone help. I had 2750 pfg shares with right issue I have 1947 showing @3.15 if I take up right they will show @6.53 on or after 20th April. Will I also have my initial 1947 shares? This share buyback is confusing so any help would be apprecited. Thanks

I mean has every one taken up their offer?

No-one can know how many of the rights have been taken up before the deadline for a acceptances, which is 9 April. The rights were only allocated today, so I doubt they've had many acceptances yet!

The results of the rights issue will be announced before open on 10 April.

Again, it is in the company rights issue announcement.

It's fully underwritten, if that's what you mean, by Barclays and J.P. Morgan.

Please read the company announcements.

rajni120, I know we all have to learn somehow but I suggest you doing some reading of the company announcements. It's all there, including the sentence:-

"The New Ordinary Shares will rank equally with other Ordinary Shares in all respects, including the right to receive other dividends and distributions (if any) made, paid or declared after the date of issue."

17 rights (PFGN) per existing 24 PFG held. So in your example I guess 70.

Your broker will be in touch.
