21/9/2022 12:17 | Name change makes sense. Shows that the focus is now clearly on the Barryroe oil and gas field and advertises the incredible asset every time the company is mentioned. It also leaves the questionable history of the company and some of the decisions made, in the past to hopefully be forgotten about and not repeated. I wouldn't be surprised if our new significant shareholders insisted on it. Hopefully it is a good omen of many positives to come. | theshenagainagain

21/9/2022 11:53 | Do we know why the company name was changed - is it the start of things to Come ? | waba
21/9/2022 10:02 | Cuadrilla could be supplying fracked gas to the UK system (Ireland)within six months, well the gobaloon if he is still in post will really have a critical decision to make, cracked ideology and shut down Moffat or pragmatic reality keep the nation functioning. | roadster750
21/9/2022 08:07 | Change of name should be very positive going forward , come on you Irish lets get this company Booming . | jotoha2
20/9/2022 17:55 | Yes confirmation of financing in place would be helpful. | hermana3

20/9/2022 13:02 | Larger shareholders have provided 2 letters outlining their financial capability to finance the project as part of the licence application. Upon request an updated letter was provided. My understanding is that it is not reportable as it is not a balance sheet item per say and is also subject to the licence renewal etc. It is up to the shareholders in question to make this public if they wish. My understanding is that this is not available under freedom of information request. It certainly is something which the media should be questioning. Unfortunately much of the media have bought in to the green ideology. I would suspect that the report accompanying the 6 month financials will refer to the project’s financial capability | gofkc

20/9/2022 11:51 | Gof You have made a very positive statement with regard to the position on finance for Barryroe which IMO is suggesting that you are far closer to the PVR hub than the very large majority on this thread, or 'informed' or 'close to' the inner circle of the department. I cannot recall shareholders, at any time, being assured that finance is truly available as and when required. If that is the case, it would have been nice to have been informed of such, rather than shareholders having to guess who is to blame for these constant delays in the lease being approved. If what you say is fact, then it would be advantageous for one of these broadcasters to put this question directly to Mr Varadkar or, even Mr Ryan himself, which may answer the question as to whether they are on the same page or not. Much more pressure needs to be applied to Government from media. The BOD seems to want us all to assume that the finance is available without actually telling us that it is so if your comments are as a result of some position then thank you for the clarification. If not, perhaps you would be good enough to clarify your source. regards | peaeff
20/9/2022 11:38 | New name... Are we going to need a new thread? | ianio5691
20/9/2022 11:12 | The company has already satisfied the financing piece with the department. Letters have been provided by larger providers. The Department asked for these letters to be refreshed last spring as they had been in place for 12 months. New letters of financial capability were put in place last April as per the departments request and have not since been questioned. It is positive that Leo Varadkar said In response to a question from Mattie McGrath in Dáil Éireann Leo Varadkar said “ thanks Deputy first of all just to be very clear we are not opposed to bringing more gas ashore from Corrib if there is more available And we are not opposed and we’re not opposed to Barryroe either I have not blocked any licence nor has Minister Ryan There is an Obligation on the company though to honour the Terms of their licence That involves demonstrating that they have the financial wherewithal to exploit those resources “ He misled the Dáil | gofkc
20/9/2022 09:31 | Totally agree. Either the Irish government is serious with its energy supply and wants to use the Barryroe field or it doesn't. In that case, it should say it clearly and pay up compensation for allowing it in the first place. Not making decisions is always a recipe fo disaster for all parties eventually plus doesn't look very serious from a government and looks like its ministers don't know what they're doing ie Ryan | g1lo
20/9/2022 09:05 | Just amazing that they are still dithering about with this . | jotoha2
20/9/2022 08:41 | we need to show PROOF OF FUNDS ASAP. LV left door open for us. Unless we can do this quick we are at nothing. | wpc9
20/9/2022 08:18 | Herm , Government asleep at the handle bars! | theshenagain
20/9/2022 08:13 | Ryan only wants reduction in consumption and is not in the least concerned with security of supply. Wants cars gone, turf gone and lights only on low and not often. Recipe for disaster but who will stop him before it is too late? | hermana3
20/9/2022 08:07 | In that interview you can hear in his tone the sheer exasperation with ryan and the govt and his end conclusion that the govt is not capable of coming up with any meaningful solution and should be led by the eu is indeed damning. In this latest interview the gobaloon states "we have to have to act fast in this energy world", jaw dropping statement from the man who has done absolutely nothing positive for the energy security of Ireland. | roadster750
20/9/2022 07:44 | Gov is asleep at the wheel. Change of name is only cosmetic so BEY from here on ... | hermana3
20/9/2022 07:39 | I think Roads mentioned this over the weekend, but another excellent interview from Don Moore this weekend (linked below)and perhaps a very strong candidate for our new Chairman?, plus good to note the CEPA energy security report has finally been released and whilst the report is extremely light in detail in regards to the development of indigenous gas resources, possibly even to the point whereby they have gone out of their way not to provide details, that said on first review the report provides an excellent platform for Providence and Lansdowne to engage in the public consultation process and demonstrate how Barryroe can make a material difference to the energy transition and energy security of Ireland, as the gas and oil demand for the next 2 to 3 decades is considerable,..GL S What should gov. be doing to protect Ireland's energy supplies? | swizz
20/9/2022 00:58 | I have had those thoughts too raise, lowry , Naughten etc would be more stable than these cult followers.Greta who? | theshenagain
19/9/2022 20:45 | The government is stuck with this green clueless lunatic until Christmas time when the change of power to Fine Gail will click in. I forecast a major cabinet shuffle and if Ryan acts up ,which he will the new coalition will side with a few independents for a sweetheart deal and dump the village idiot Ryan The people of Ireland have grown tired of him and his green ideology which is costing them big in the pocket. They are baffled by the fact that in these extraordinary times of energy security, high prices and risk of blackouts, that we are not exploiting our own country's oil and gas, returning back to turf to carry us through these difficult times. He is quiet happy to leave the elderly pay €50 plus this winter per bag of coal and get a fill of oil for heating for .€1500 as he enjoys the heat in his €1.5 million house in Dublin. Congestion charges will be his next target to force €50,000 electric cars on us all which is a pipedream. He is seriously deluded and has gained the haltered of the majority while he pushes his green agenda. I look forward to seeing the back of him before he causes mayhem and endangers human life. | raisethestake1 |
