28/8/2013 16:23 | Transport for London currently in talks with Proton Power Systems While the new hydrogen fuel cells from Proton Power Systems may be a boon for public transportation, no transit authority has yet embraced the new fuel cells definitively. Transport for London is currently in negotiations with the company concerning its fuel cells and how they can be used to boost the operational range of electric buses and other such vehicles. | ertugrul

24/8/2013 10:02 | Matt & Cliley Thanks for your comments. Well, although at this point we are unable to confirm that the range extenders will be a part of the Smiths deal it seems we are moving in the right direction and real progress is being made. Thank you & any more comments would be appreciated. BB | barrieb

23/8/2013 10:40 | My understanding is that the range extender will be introduce into all Newtons as standard. "The Group has also developed a mobile 7kW fuel cell system to operate as a Range Extender for battery driven light duty vehicles in cooperation with Smith Electric Vehicles ("SEV") based in the UK and USA. A Range Extender is continuously charging the battery based on a hydrogen fuel cell. The benefits are a significant increase of range of operation and support of air-conditioning or heating devices with zero emissions. The Group has completed a full integration of the Range Extender system into SEV's Newton light duty vehicle, which was introduced to the market at the Hannover Industrial Exhibition in April 2012. The results of extensive testing are fully in line with the Group's expectations. It is anticipated that sales of the first vehicles to customers in Germany will arise during 2013 " | cliley454
23/8/2013 10:40 | the range extenders may or may not be required at the outset but, one assumes, the option will be there. I think the Spower amalgamation is what should cause the market to sit up and take note when it sees the new combined turnover & cash flow. Any mention of a deal with TforL would seem to be a major achievement for such a small company. Much more of this price increase and they may be obliged to report the situation anyway | mattjos
23/8/2013 10:29 | No mention of the PPS Range Extender being a part of the Smiths deal! They may not need that extended range for this deal. Comments please. BB | barrieb
23/8/2013 10:24 | Very small base to hold from. 500k myself... sitting and can wait for however many years it takes to come good... Good steady bottom draw shares.. nice to have some.. | sidjameslaugh
23/8/2013 10:19 | More interesting that 70k shares can raise the share price by 11%. Limits anyone? | cliley454
23/8/2013 10:17 | Interesting that the share price moves in .25p and not smaller fractions. All bodes well for a nice rise. | encarter
23/8/2013 10:14 | Momentum building nicely now as the good news filters through and investors do their research. A deal with a major bus company or an order from EON would see a major re-rating. But a massive deal has really already been done as part of the Smiths deal. PPS have an agreement to supply range extenders to Smiths trucks. Smiths have just done a deal for 5000 trucks in Taiwan with more deals in the pipeline. Now that this news is out I would hope for an announcement from the company before Septembers transformational results. | cliley454 |
