And now the big one. Smiths, whom PPS have an agreement with to use their range extender in Smiths trucks have just hit the big time.

This could be massive for PPS and with less than 4% of stock in public hands any good news could see the share price back above 6p imho.

dontshootthemessenger - I would have thought 20kW generation rate was quite adequate to drive a bus on a suburban route when half the time is standing still and much of the rest is coasting, particularly so if it were combined with regenerative breaking.
The peak power may be 200bhp but the average power usage is unlikely to be more than 20bhp or (20 x 746) = 14920W i.e. 14.9kW.

A battery accommodates the peaks and smooths the power requirement to an average value.

More press and the share price is climbing. Something's cooking.
hxxp://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/hydrogen-fuel-cells-may-help-extend-the-range-of-uk-buses/8513511/

"Public transit authority looks to boost range of electric vehicles

Boosting the range of electric vehicles has been a point of interest for the United Kingdom and its public transportation sector. Transport for London currently operates one of the nation's largest fleet of electric buses and has been working to increase the operational range of these vehicles for some time. Proton Power System is not able to help accomplish this goal with its new hydrogen fuel cell range extenders."

'Not' is a typo and should read 'now' imho.

"The most exciting interest in this in the UK has come from the major bus operators," he said.

"We cannot name names as yet, but we can say that it is a very exciting development. "
