23/8/2013 10:17 | Interesting that the share price moves in .25p and not smaller fractions. All bodes well for a nice rise. | encarter
23/8/2013 10:14 | Momentum building nicely now as the good news filters through and investors do their research. A deal with a major bus company or an order from EON would see a major re-rating. But a massive deal has really already been done as part of the Smiths deal. PPS have an agreement to supply range extenders to Smiths trucks. Smiths have just done a deal for 5000 trucks in Taiwan with more deals in the pipeline. Now that this news is out I would hope for an announcement from the company before Septembers transformational results. | cliley454
23/8/2013 10:01 | the results next month are going to appear quite transformational with the amalgamation of SPower, which could (from end this year) sustain their operational cashflow requirements going forward. The directors are certainly not keen to reduce their shareholdings & a lot of the options are way, way higher than today's price. Interested to see mgmnt commentary in the results | mattjos
23/8/2013 09:41 | Some more press from yesterday, hxxp://m.hydrogenfue The company should issue an RNS imho. | encarter
23/8/2013 09:26 | Is the company going to incorporate Graphene into its products ; If so buy shares in a Graphene producer ... | leedskier
23/8/2013 08:43 | With 94% of the stock not in public hands it won't take a feeding frenzy to get the share price rocketing. Any good news could easily double the share price imho and with recent developments that good news is about to arrive. A deal with Modl "Partnering with Modl, the leading supplier of intelligent power system solutions, demonstrates that Proton Motor is a key supplier of hydrogen-based fuel cell technology in Germany." A pilot with E.ON 'We are pleased to be participating in this pilot project as a partner of E.ON AG. It's a great success for Proton, that a major energy provider such as E.ON AG is relying on the PM Module S5 in managing their power grid and in a critical application ensuring the supply of electricity to consumers. We are ready for more projects of this kind and hope to implement them soon.' Then just this week, interest in their range extender from bus companies and in talks with Transport of London "A number of major bus operators are now taking note, as is Transport for London, with whom Proton has opened discussions, and chairman John Wall said he was hopeful this could be a "big thing" for the company." hxxp://www.thejourna And now the big one. Smiths, whom PPS have an agreement with to use their range extender in Smiths trucks have just hit the big time. "This is another significant milestone for Smith. With this letter of intent, we are eager to complete our first ever licensee agreement for the Company," hxxp://www.smithelec No official announcement has yet been made by the company regarding talks with bus companies or the Smiths deal, hopefully they are preparing one for Monday. | cliley454

23/8/2013 08:03 | Maybe it's related to SPower, who's acquisition went largely unnoticed. "Established in 2007, SPower serves IT, Telecoms, public infrastructure and healthcare customers in Germany, Europe and Middle East with power supply solutions for DC and AC power demand. Beside the business for power supply, SPower also offers solutions for Solar Systems as well as a new product line for Solar Energy Storage, which will be released to the market in the second quarter of 2013. SPower is also planning to launch a new high power uninterruptible power supply product line in 2013. SPower will be completely integrated into the Proton Motor division. Sales, after sales service and logistics will be strengthened. Cross selling synergies will be optimised with products from Proton Motor being offered to the existing SPower customers. The Board of Proton Power believes that the acquisition will strengthen and enlarge Proton Motor's business division and provide it with the opportunity, in the future, to add a fuel cell based option to the SPower product line. Sales and service of solutions will be delivered by a single enlarged sales team and this will allow the Company to target the Middle Eastern and South American markets. SPower expects to report a turnover of circa EUR3 million for the year to 31 December 2012 and to be breaking even at the operating profit level. Also through the integration with Proton Motor which is expected to result in cost synergies of approximately EUR200,000 per annum, management expects that SPower will increase turnover to around EUR5 million and become profitable in the year to December 2013. 23/8/2013 05:06 | I had the same thoughts when the RNS came out. Holding a fair amount here and having got more yesterday, my business turns over more and has an accountant in Hemel Hempstead who costs me less than a grand a year... strange... | sidjameslaugh
23/8/2013 00:03 | the reason i ask is because a top 5 auditor like PWC seems at odds with first-blush inspection of the business. They would be equally as well-served by Mrs. Miggins Accountancy Services for all the business they are writing - in fact could easily get by with an Excel spreadsheet for Payables & Receivables. Either the management has: 1. something much bigger in mind (& hence the recent appointment to dress things up by association with a top 5 firm); 2. One of them is in bed with a PWC employee or; 3. They are plain daft to spend the scarce cash on such an indulgence .. lets face it, an audit here would take 2 hours tops, off the back of a SAGE Line 50 backup file and coffee one morning. Germans though are not generally persuaded by option 3. Humans are of course always prone to option 2 .... option 1 suggests something more promising is in the offing. | mattjos
22/8/2013 22:51 | No not off the top of my head. The 1m trade could be a buy from a couple of days ago that got the share price moving. | encarter
22/8/2013 15:09 | 2.5% of the free float traded in one day. either a seller is clearing out or Roundstone are letting some go for some reason - at a very depressed price. Cant believe they are the stricken seller having just loaned the company 2.4m Anyone know who the auditors were before PWC's appointment? | mattjos
22/8/2013 14:41 | ForK only most of day. mm's not interested to do business at present it seems .. not until perhaps they are more aware of what is going on | mattjos

22/8/2013 11:56 | Nice to see things finally progressing. With this from last results. "The Group has also developed a mobile 7kW fuel cell system to operate as a Range Extender for battery driven light duty vehicles in cooperation with Smith Electric Vehicles ("SEV") based in the UK and USA. A Range Extender is continuously charging the battery based on a hydrogen fuel cell. The benefits are a significant increase of range of operation and support of air-conditioning or heating devices with zero emissions. The Group has completed a full integration of the Range Extender system into SEV's Newton light duty vehicle, which was introduced to the market at the Hannover Industrial Exhibition in April 2012. The results of extensive testing are fully in line with the Group's expectations. It is anticipated that sales of the first vehicles to customers in Germany will arise during 2013. A German government grant funding program is supporting the first vehicles with 48% of the investment. The fuel cell Range Extender concept also provides exciting opportunities for urban electric bus applications. For that reason, the Group has developed a 20kW Range Extender version for buses, which can be used in modular operation with 20kW, 40kW and 60kW. An Austrian funding project in cooperation with Magna Steyr will start in 2013 with the integration of the 20kW Range Extender into a German branded light duty vehicle." Then this a couple of days ago. " A number of major bus operators are now taking note, as is Transport for London, with whom Proton has opened discussions, and chairman John Wall said he was hopeful this could be a "big thing" for the company. "The most exciting interest in this in the UK has come from the major bus operators," he said. "We cannot name names as yet, but we can say that it is a very exciting development." hxxp://www.thejourna and now this today. "Smith Electric and Taikang Technology Corporation intend to enter into a definitive licensing agreement, which will cover the assembly and distribution of all-electric vehicles in Taiwan, opening up an important new market for Smith Electric. The vehicles will be Smith Electric branded and the joint venture will help Smith Electric to strengthen and further build its global manufacturing presence. The JV's first three years of production is anchored by a 5,000 vehicle commitment, including transformation of a significant portion of the country's municipal garbage truck fleet." hxxp://www.smithelec We should be getting a RNS shortly imho. | encarter
