Problem is Pro is not forgeting diagnostics and is spending the remaining finite cash in the 'shell' on trying to fix a broken piece of kit, consequently the cash will never be returned to shareholders as it will be burnt, therefore its value is illusiory.

As for vaccine blockbuster you are dreaming.

hterag1,i bought a few a while back for 9.2p,saw them rise to an intraday 16p i think, then watched them drift back down.eventually got out at 9p to take a small hit.with hindsight, glad i did!!funny you should mention ernie, i used to buy 3 lottery tickets every week but now only one, save the other 2 quid then every 100 quid buy some premium bonds.at least the money is still mine at the end of the day.good luck to remaining holders!

hterag1- small companies should only form a small part of an investor's portfolio unless they are mentally prepared at the outset to take a 100% hit.

I have invested off and on in Provalis since about 1989 when it was known as Western Capital. At the time it was trading for about $2 and Shearson Lehman had a year price target of $25 if my memory is correct. I actually made money the first time I sold it but after that it was a loser every time I took a stake. First it was falsified data on an oral drug for diabetes that led to the resignation of the ceo and a company name change to Cortec or was it to Provalis. There have been so many changes and disappointments I would have to consult the documents to be sure of the chronological order. So it went on. But I never bet too much on it and have so far survived to fight another day.

PRO

Provalis PLC
Daily Commentary

Our system posted a HOLD today. The previous BUY recommendation that was confirmed was made on 10.03.2006 (6) days ago, when the stock price was 1.1800. Since then PRO has gained 16.95% .

Are you eager to sell your shares? Well we say: "Stick to them for the moment!" Market mood is again bullish. Our SELL-IF alert is not confirmed. It is now null and void and should be ignored.

The current tag is HOLD and it already tells you what to do. Keep holding your stocks until the next signal. Did you already sell without waiting for the confirmation? Do not worry. Chance knocks the door twice. There will be good prices in the next session at which you can buy them back.

Why is there an afx news item posted for Pro - I cannot see the connection (or is it simply because it starts with the word "Property":

Mapeley buys Croydon building from HSBC Specialist Investments for 53.2 mln stg
AFX

LONDON (AFX) - Property investment and outsourcing company, Mapeley Ltd said it has bought Leon House in Croydon from HSBC Specialist Investments UK Active Property Fund for 53.2 mln stg cash.

mudbath,

In view of your comments you have no doubt mortgaged your home to raise funds to invest in Pro at this giveaway share price

If so I fear for the future security of your family.
