18/7/2016 09:51 | Yen-based bidder for ARM today. Reminds market Yen is strong, Pound weak. Attention swings to Nissin. Any bid from latter would free McCormick from its 6mth lockout. Update on trading on Thurs. DYOR. | aldgatee1
18/7/2016 09:35 | PF remains a takeover target, someway to go beofre it is realistically valued. | chrisgail

14/7/2016 08:41 | Well my theory about the impact of US buying didn't work yesterday but still good to see 46p again this morning. Hopefully it won't take too long to hit 50p. | mick
13/7/2016 14:23 | Yes let's see how the price behaves after the US opens. | mick
13/7/2016 09:06 | I hope so, I might even get back to B.E. soon. It usually goes up in the afternoon when the U.S. opens, let's see what this afternoon brings. | outfly
13/7/2016 08:57 | Yes I wonder is PFD back in play? | mick
13/7/2016 08:56 | Something seems to be happening here!! | outfly
12/7/2016 20:09 | Interesting that most of today's price action took place in the afternoon after the US market opened. Make of it what you want! | mick
08/7/2016 10:13 | Excuse me, but there was some suggestion that because Derby bought a shedload at 60p in placing he was dtermined to get more than 65p....but he would take 75p surely.25% pt. Save his face and make all happy. | waldof
08/7/2016 10:11 | Exactly Flyfisher. BTW are you a flyfisher? Check the volume today...something fishy! | waldof
08/7/2016 10:03 | At the end of march McCormick made an approach at 60p, followed by a revised approach at 65p. At the prevailing fx rate they were offering $798m for the equity of PFD. It was reported that both paulson and standard life, holding about 15% combined, were keen to reach a deal. At the current fx rate of 1.294, a bid at the previous level of $798, would now be 71.5p. This would give nissin a handy profit, would save face for the board, and most likely receive institutional approval. Will it happen ? | flyfisher
08/7/2016 09:48 | waldorf ,the doommongers are even talking parity to the dollar. It would be open season for a slice of UK.Excuse the puns. | geraldus
08/7/2016 09:39 | Think Geraldus may be correct re exchange rate...they could pay another 10% on top of what they offered and it would cost them nothing! | waldof
08/7/2016 09:19 | Yes,could be something cooking over in the good old US of A. | geraldus
08/7/2016 09:14 | Interesting the price spiked yesterday after New York opened. Encouraging to see a bit of firmness in the price. | mick
08/7/2016 09:10 | 500,000 shares traded in first hour! On a Friday too ( normally a low volume day for the mkt). | waldof
04/7/2016 15:10 | Interesting how volume has evaporated this afternoon.....with the US closed. And i am not a big believer in coincidences. Most of them are not.. | waldof
04/7/2016 11:05 | Strong dollar could be the deal breaker needed. | geraldus
04/7/2016 10:19 | Volume up too. McM coming back with a higher price? | waldof
04/7/2016 09:51 | Anybody got any idea what's going on here. Significant increase over last few days. | mick
30/6/2016 14:17 | Saw that, war chest? | waldof
30/6/2016 13:43 | Mcormick put their results out and this immediately heads north, what gives? | geraldus
04/6/2016 09:30 | There is certainly some value here as some1 was willing to pay about 40% more than what it is now. I am pretty confident that it will go back to what the bid was maybe higher. | mynumber
03/6/2016 14:27 | No one ever went broke taking a profit so well done number. Curious though that the major part of each days trades both in numbers and volume occur after midday, when US starts to come to life. Just an observation and nothing more intended. | waldof |
