65p was a great offer, over 100% premium on pre offer price. What are the pfd board doing?

As I see it there is limited downside here, its just a case of predicting the right level of upside. North of 65p seems likely so almost minimum 10% uplift from here is virtually guaranteed. As has been said before, free money !!

So no downside if McCormacks pull out? Baloni!

I have a feeling that MC will not want to lose to a Japanese outfit.
I lived in the US for a few years and there is a visceral hatred of the Japanese over there ..Pearl Harbour..i was really quite surprised.

The chocolate chips are down! McC's bid better be "...exceedingly good" or else they are toast!

No news.
Looks like a early dip back towards 55p as the run up on Friday was in anticipation of news over the weekend.
Still, they haven't walked, so it must be price.
If it falls to circa 55p, I'm having some more mr Kipling.

Cellular3 I am merely stating a fact to someone who said there was limited downside, to make their comment a little more balanced. And to follow up your comment, a stop loss would be virtually useless in such an event, unless it is a guaranteed stop provided by a CFD, Spreadbet firm etc.

FWIW I expect a bid to be agreed/forced through, as does the market given that the price sits much closer to the expected bid value than the pre-bid price.

To be fair there will be an immediate drop if the bid is withdrawn.
But either through trading or through another bid any drop will be temporary and a buying opportunity
