Interesting that someone on LSE is suggesting ipo for HUI is 22nd November and conference is in 23rd.

Over 500 at the conference including the following

EU representatives
● CEO and Board Members
● Think-thank representatives
● Industry Leaders
● Government Representatives
● Local Authorities

The conference will present the opportunities for the business from transition to sustainable economic growth. The forum will serve as a networking platform and a ground for establishing successful public-private partnership initiatives.

Bad move at this point in time. A great deal is due to happen in the coming weeks and months so the right strategy is to add on any dips.

Interesting conference in Bulgaria and attendees. Look down the list.

Fits in with what has been posted on LSE.

You may want to share it over there.

Plenty of plastic waste in the EU with Germany being the worst by far.

Yep...

"Good one this, think you will like it. Hot off the press, just been talking to Michael Wappner, he's a representative of HUI. Aleksandra managed to find a region called Blagoevgrad. They are interested in a minimum of 12 plants and want to become the hub of waste in Europe. Germany and Italy want to deliver their waste there. One of the cities is called Simitli, and they have already signed a memorandum of understanding"

Yeah I can see from previous history couple of failures. Hopefully they now got system that works. Quite a few companies looking at similar ways of waste plastic to energy so they really do need to push this along quicker than current forecasts.

However as you say at £20 million set up costs not cheap.

Have they given a return on capital I’m guessing whoever runs the units will be charging for the plastic waste coming in and energy going back out.

Environmentally it’s a winner but companies will want return on their investment eventually unless of course it’s the big plastic manufacturers who want to reduce their plastic waste problem.

Can't remember exactly Graham, but must be 6 or 7 years. We've had our ups and downs in that time!

Wonder if it could be used in something like ready mixed concrete but then again if it’s inert material can go to landfill I guess

Cheers

cash2020: There is definitely NO commercial-sized DMG system running anywhere. They cost over £20M to build, so that's not something that the company would have hidden away somewhere!

However for several years they have had a small (3 tonnes per day) prototype gasification system running at the Thronton Park site. This has been used for the collection of data and testing a variety of different kinds of feedstock, and that is where they obtained the data to enable them to design the FOAK (First of a Kind) commercial (35 tonnes per day) DMG system which will be constructed at Protos.

So, somebody has posted a very interesting link on another forum. Its a government document that states that Powerhouse is at TRL6 (Technology Readiness Level 6).
This means we're at Large scale (see second link below showing TRL levels). This must mean the plant is up and running at large commercial level but offsite somewhere.

Excellent news IMO.

I believe it's a non-toxic black carbon residue, but I don't know if it can be used for anything or if it goes to landfill.

Anyone know what the waste product is after going through the DMG system and how it’s going to get disposed of? Can see in diagram that it goes into sack but what happens to it after that.
