Redditch.....A new Poundland store has opened in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre. The store, which opened on March 5 in Walford Walk, is part of the company’s 99p conversion, following the buy-out in 2015.

It is the second in the shopping centre, with the other in Kingfisher Walk.

You still see them both in the West Midlands, often very close to each other.
I suppose it depends on the terms of the respective leases.

Brokers, buying and selling just bounces from the one who spoke last bull/bear. Pathetic really. Creates a market tho.

Well you either belive the £1 concept works, it does, and you workout if the 99p aquisition will enhance, it will.

Yes the Poundland store in Torquay will relocate to the old 99p store, which is much bigger. It is only 100 metres or so up the road.

I think the charlie dimmok range should be a winner.

So from 400p ipo, 280p for 99p stores down to 170p, seems overdone. 170p Buys more for less.

Evening PHIL, just checked and the nearest one to me at the moment is around 10 miles away. Never been in one.

Checked out the gardening section in PLND today and it`s pretty impressive with this Charlie Dimmock range. Bought some compost and seeds :-)

I think I am losing faith in this stock. Home Bargains store 50 metres from new poundland, formerly 99p shop is a much better shopping experience. They have about 400 stores but are currently a private company. Their positioning is between Poundland and Aldi. Anybody come accross them?
