Revised upwards full year profits and improving outlook would support a much higher share price than this, closer to 100p imo.

Owen, way overlooked IMHO and if it gets mentioned in the tabloids or the tip sheets it could really take off. also there doesn't seem to be much stock around so I think MMs are holding price back to pick up some stock may be?

Started buying a couple of months back. Markets picking up for PRV, plus starting from a reduced cost base, plus new products and new product contracts. Always thought this one was overlooked.

I agree Garth; that would hae been my interpretation: a new position. But, who sold 2 million shares if not one of the Institutional Investors and they would then have to notify a change of holdings. So, I concluded its bad reporting (not unheard of in the financial press)or deliberately misleading to enhance the share price

Presumably both positions can be true? Gartmore may well have already had a position, but this particular fund run by these particular Gartmore fund managers has taken a maiden stake? (not watching closely enough to bother wading through the announcements myself though...)

Well my interpretation of this is that it is a new holding:

"Gartmore fund managers Gervais Williams, Andrew Russell and Harmesh Suniara have opened a position in environmental technology company Porvair plc with a stake of 2.1 million shares or 5% worth about £1.4 million.

The trio who run the Gartmore Fledgling trust, bought the holding after Porvair said that it has signed a three-year global supply agreement with Alcoa Inc, a producer of primary aluminium. Porvair manufactures a range of bespoke consumable filtration products that are used in a range of niche filtration markets. Back on April 13 Alcoa said it had made an encouraging start to the year, with revenues up by 5%."

What else does "have opened" and "bought the holding" means if not that?
