24/11/2009 11:36 | ukinvestor220, given that there appears to be a determined seller at the moment I'm not sure that I'd want to risk being long overnight. Any ideas why they are selling? Fund raising to reduce debt? Net borrowings are about £16m but they've already renegotiated facilities with Barclays. | ![]() typo56
24/11/2009 10:00 | thanks typo :) i was unable to get an order onto the book during the auction (which wasn't at the standard time) via my electronic broker. i suppose the ultimate test would be to try and place an order at 58p or whatever the uncrossing price is by phone with a good broker. | ukinvestor220

23/11/2009 21:20 | could be a good time for GGG Spa to increase or even Bid? | mrmerkin
23/11/2009 17:41 | It's a SETSqx stock. SETSqx is one of those not so bright ideas from LSE. It combines an order book which is completely seperate from the quote driven market making. Orders on the order book only get executed at the end of the periodic auctions which are timed at 8:00, 11:00, 15:00 and 16:35. Of course, as with all auctions, orders will only get filled if there is a willing counterparty - ie the book is crossed at the end of the auction. The yellow strip shows the bid/ask prices being quoted by the market makers, not the order book, hence the uncrossing prices may seem detached from the market maker quotes at the time. I think the idea of the SETSqx order book is to provide greater liquidity for larger orders. I'm not convinced that it works! Another not so bright idea from LSE is the 0.5*EMS minimum order size restriction on orders placed in ASM6 sector stocks. It means if you get a partial fill which takes you below 0.5*EMS you can't place it back on the book. What's all that about? | ![]() typo56
22/11/2009 17:09 | ted32 - yes, as posted earlier MM's put it in auction which uncrossed at 58p even though the auction was closed to any other orders. The spike down didnt appear till the following day. Very strange manipulation. ukinvestor220 - 19 Nov'09 - 16:22 - 69 of 78 edit aha - its in auction now has been for 7 minutes. Theres a 500 UT trade at 60p at 15.00 lets see what happens to the ticker. The uncrossing price is currently 58p for 10k vol ukinvestor220 - 19 Nov'09 - 16:39 - 70 of 78 edit despite submitting an order on the book to buy at 58p i was unable to enter the auction. Auction closed at 16.35 final trade UT 10k at 58p although no spike down this time. lets see what it looks like tomorrow | ukinvestor220

20/11/2009 10:00 | ukinvestor...Good morning! Do you have an explanation as to what is causing these "dips" during late trading. | ![]() ted32
20/11/2009 07:28 | lo and behold the ticker now shows a spike down to 58p again, but at the time it didnt move from 68p right through till close. even more fascinating | ukinvestor220
20/11/2009 07:26 | there was only one deal - 10k at 58p. we dont know if it was a sell. it wasnt a proper auction either, the touch didnt show mkt and the bid / offer positions didnt change | ukinvestor220
19/11/2009 17:32 | I see 1 10000 sell trade at 58p. I'll eat my "hat" if this does not revert to 68p at 8am tomorrow. | ![]() ted32
19/11/2009 17:12 | ukinvestor220...I'd be obliged if you can let us know of the "deals" which took place at the auction and at what price. | ![]() ted32
19/11/2009 16:59 | As on previous late trades the share price will revert to 68p tomorrow. To quote Beaufort I'm mystified". Perhaps this needs being looked into. | ![]() ted32

19/11/2009 10:02 | it has had increasing big down spikes at the close for the last few days. last night it was down to 58. if was sceptical, i would think that the mm's are taking the p*ss and trying to trigger stops. This kind of movement on a repeated basis really needs to be looked at by the FSA. on the plus side, if mm's are looking for stock there could be some buying in the pipeline :) | ukinvestor220
19/11/2009 09:53 | the bid/offer has been 66/70 for days now, don't know why it's shown as having risen 17% today? | ![]() bollers
19/11/2009 08:23 | Correction now to upside.......maybe the start of a huge rise now. | ![]() johndee
28/10/2009 08:20 | Seems ripe for a correction. Having said that this morning - I'm editing my comment as that would require the market, and Alloa to give it a bit of a lift, which looks unlikely at the moment. If David Schwartz, and a full page in Shares can't budge it, I'm ending my research here. If in doubt stay out and all that. | uncletomg
27/10/2009 21:22 | correct as per the Nov08 stats and most recent total voting rights RNS. | mrmerkin
27/10/2009 20:30 | This looks very undervalued - look at the market cap compared to the profit... Any one know if these figures in the 'Quote' tab on adfvn are actually correct? | uncletomg
23/10/2009 21:45 | Full page article in 'Shares' magazine. stating prime candidate to see recovery, added possibility of a bid by GGG Spa who recently increased their holding to 22%. trading update due in early Dec. | mrmerkin
23/10/2009 20:49 | Anyone see anything wrong with this other than general lack of interest? I.e. other than the spread? If there is any other +ve news this is likely to shoot up a fair bit, or have I missed something obvious... | uncletomg
18/10/2009 20:34 | David Schwartz buys back in, with good reason | mrmerkin |
