26/3/2024 20:15 | The problem with this picture is its improbability. For the present, there is no court available to try Putin which is why some 39 democratic nations, including the UK, have set up a "core group" to examine how to create an "aggression tribunal" to deal with him in the event that he is overthrown. Putin is, without doubt, guilty of the crime of aggression, but must be proved guilty. The law is clear enough. Aggression was outlawed by the UN Charter, and criminal responsibility for enforcing it was left to the International Criminal Court (ICC), which eventually came up with a simple definition that came into effect in 2018. It is committed by any political or military leader who breaches the UN Charter by invading another member state with a force of the "character, gravity and scale" that makes the breach "manifest". This definition fits Putin like a glove. The only defence he can offer is self-defence under article 51 of the UN Charter. He may claim entitlement to attack and kill Ukrainians because the country might have joined Nato and Nato might have attacked Russia. This is called "pre-emptive self-defence". ...fu | xxxxxy

21/3/2024 14:54 | 31337 COD3r Just back from the garden..... You disagree with my opinion of Russia? I'm not a fan of Russia, or Putin, or Commies generally. But I am aware of the national archive leaks that reveal "No Eastwards expansion" Precisely what EU and NATO have done since 1990s and fall of Berlin wall. You disagree with my opinion of Russia how??? "Must've missed that. When were Nuclear weapons used?" Don't forget poor Alexander Litvinenko, murdered on the streets of London by agent thugs of the Russian mafia government of Putin, using Polonium 210 - a highly lethal radioactive material that was also used in early nuclear weapons and as the detonator in the atomic bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki. Injected /targeted at an individual. Hardly a "NUCLEAR WEAPON" for gods sake. Get some perspective. | geckotheglorious
21/3/2024 14:48 | While I strongly disagree with most of Gecko's opinion on Russia, I accept nobody is going to change his mind and I therefore won't waste effort on that. However he did ask a question: "Must've missed that. | 31337 c0d3r
21/3/2024 12:21 | NATO is going to spend itself into oblivion. The replacement for the US Air force minuteman missile is going to cost over $1 trillion. 21/3/2024 09:44 | Spending 4% of GDP is ridiculous when the UK's health service is already falling a part, infrastructure is collapsing, education system is crumbling, railways that are not fit for purpose and the British people are already paying the highest taxes ever. Spending 4% of GDP on the military will just drive more of the British population into poverty. | loganair

20/3/2024 09:23 | Over the past couple of months the United States Army+Marines have fallen below 500,000, currently standing at 490,000 and are expected to fall by a further 20,000 over the next couple of years. The Ukraine has already lost more troops than the whole of the United States and British army put together. Just think, 20 years ago the U.S. army stood at going on towards 700,000. | loganair
20/3/2024 07:19 | Zang. Nothing UK parliamentarians can do. As 31337 COD3R points out, peace is in the hands of Hamas, Hezbollah and all the other jew haters in the region. No genocide either.
